You also should note that ALL previous iron banner gear was Raid quality and provided an alternative to being at the mercy of raid RNG to level.
That's gone now too. The iron banner gear is no better than what the tower vendors sell.

Not this time last year. Ib dropped level 29 gear up until the weeks before tdb came out

The first iron banner didn't but the next one did. I remember because I had 3 titans grinding three raids a week to get my Kabr's brazen grips to drop after 8 boots, 6 chests and no helmet. I saw the iron banner was going to be Lv30 equivalent gear and was stoked about it, until I had to go out of the country for two weeks for work.......during iron banner. Dark below Iron Banner had crota equivalent gear, and HOW came complete with etheric light to bring it up to PoE level. (Expensive tho) Now we get the equivalent of blue engrams. Never give the lab monkey lettuce, then grapes, then lettuce again.

The first almost 3 months of Destiny year one ib did not drop level 30 gear. It wasn't until the last ib before tdb dropped that it was level 30. This is the first ib of year 2. I am willing to bet that ib won't sell or drop 310 items until the next expansion is about to be released

Must have been the third one I'm remembering then. Oh well. Won't be playing it again until the gear is raid quality.

I feel ya! I was very disappointed with the drop rate... got all 3 to rank 5. Titan got 4 drops all terrible. Other 2 got absolutely nothing

Yeah that is absolute garbage. Sry man. Shouldn't be that way. They need to go back to offering two armor pieces at least.
