Not sure I am following you...at any rate, I meant with legendary marks and other materials, not with actual money. I also edited the original post to reflect that. It's just be easier than heading to tower for every purchase from a vendor. Our ghosts can synthesize materials and communicate with tower/reef already, why not allow for what would amount to fictional online purchases with made-up currency we earn in-game? Seems pretty harmless to me.
