Ok..so I LOVE Iron Banner. I have always loved Iron Banner and Destiny's PVP in general. I don't understand why level advantages can't always be enabled (if Bungie's goal is for people to be trapped in a game world that has them constantly trying to improve, creating an actual competitive environment that ties back to their amazing game is a great idea). It would encourage players to do the work to level and get the guns and come back into a competitive game space and enjoy the rewards of their labor. However, today in Iron Banner, I, a level 40 with 305 light was 1 shot, head shot with a 170 ice breaker who's wielder was a level 40 252 light. Anyone else see a problem with this? Or that a 170 messenger can still two shot kill you with precision damage. I know pulse rifles got the boost but the damage output should be significantly reduced based on light level. I feel like Bungie doesn't want to discourage PVP players who don't really care much about the PVE side of the game and are more excited about the PVP side because it's longer lasting; however, the TRUE fanbase of Destiny will always be those who grind daily to level, obtain gear, and completely wreck in crucible.
My recommendation: Keep level advantages as a permanent fixture in "competitive multiplayer" and actually make level advantages noticeable. BT dubbs, the blink shotgun has been replaced by the blink sword which takes even less skill. Just saying.

It seems the power level system they're using now is on an extremely forgiving curve, I've noticed essentially no difference.
