The Taken King Weapon and Armor Lore Now with AudioVersion

The Chaperone. As seen from previous footage this weapon had what looked to be the Tex Mechanica insignia. If this is true, and it is made by Tex Mechanica, this paired with the grimoire, we learn the foundry truly had its "Hey-day" during the Dark Ages, but recently has fallen short in comparison to the newer more advanced foundrys with the exception of a few specialty exotics we use today. Telesto is a moon of Saturn, and is called out as being a Vestige of the Queens Harbingers. As we know the Harbingers are something that destroyed hundreds of thousands if not millions of Eliksni that caused the Reef Wars. Whatever these things were exactly, simply the sight of them was enough to strike fear into the enemy. Being a "Vestige" of it means that it's like a trace of it, a glimplse of its power. This suggests that whatever the Harbingers were, creature or weapon, they harnessed Void Light with massive explosive powers. Alchemist's Raiment Cry_w of the Collective of Knowledge pointed out a very close relation between Ulan-Tan's Burial Ring and the design on this chest piece. This reinforeces the fact that Ulan-Tan was a Warlock, and also really shows the depth of the character. Ulan-Tan was one of the people who speculated on the nature of the Darkness, he theorized that the Darkness a necessary symmetry to the Traveler in a cosmic balance. In this view, the Traveler's goodness led it to sacrifice for others, and it is up to us to return this goodness by healing the Traveler. He was also the founder, possibly inadvertantly after death, of the faction Symmetry which likely held that ideal strongly. An Alchemist is one who makes one thing from another equal thing (those anime nerds who have watched FMA will know this quite well) which leads me to believe that this was infact the robes of the legendary Ulan-Tan. Empyrean Bellicose is our new Titan exotic which features some scavenged Golden Age tech. Off from Mars and the floating gardens of Pomona Mons Titans get to experience a similar affect to the Warlocks Angel of Light, this technology clearly the same that kept the gardens afloat. To break down the name directly we get "A warrior of the Heavens" So this helmet is essentially worn by the proud and noble Titans who fight for Light. While the perk may seem sub-par i would like to draw attention to the fact that the Dreadnaught has been hinted at having a lot of platforming puzzles. A Titan already has the highest natural jump, and being able to move laterally without falling at that height, then fall down on it's natural parabolic arc gives the Titans essentially an equivalent to the Hunter's Bones of Eao. I think this will be a fantastic Exotic to own. Sealed Ahamkara Grasps: This exotic should further confirm that the Voidfang Vestments are actually a piece of Ahamkara armor for the Warlocks "You will dream of teeth and nothing else" The Ahamkara have a strong influence on whoever is holding/wearing the bones, as seen in Ghost Fragment Warlock 2 as well as in theory on Skolas' back. These Ahamkara gloves however have been plated in silver, and it claims that this helps to silence the influence of the Ahamkara. Is it that Ahamkara have been given a similar weakness as common folklore beasts like Werewolves? A weakness to silver? And if so....why reveal this information now? Right when we're introducing a new weapon type: Swords. Or could it be that the Ahamkara have actually inspired this idea? and that, like OoMNagent of the Collective of Knowledge suggests, they are actually mocking us. And this is what I believe to be the more likely. We attempt to silence them by coating it in silver, but it doesn't work at all. Sleeper Simulant will be our last exotic revealed today, and this one is puzzling. There isn't much to go on here, but what they do tell us is that the subroutine: "Ikleos" has been completed. Now what i can say is that Ikleos was the god and personification of people seen in prophetic dreams. Further he is the son of Hypnos and Pasithea, or Nyx and Erebus... the latter has me curious, but i won't get into that now...possibly for a long time. So what we've learned before about the Sleeper Simulant is that it is clearly an exotic weapon made from Warsat materials, possibly by the Seven Seraphs. Now what do we know about the Warminds exactly? Well we know that one went dormant...and slept for a few centuries...dreaming about how to defeat the Darkness.... Good catch by Architects of the Collective of Knowledge and my personal House of Pigs: That is clearly where it gets it's name.
