I'm ashamed to be a part of this community..
You guys are pissed because of how the SS thing worked out? You're basically bullying the company for actually doing something different. You want to go back to RNG for everything? Half of you would be complaining about Boolean Gemini, Ace of Spade, Etc etc. Bungie tried something new and you slapped them in the face for it.
On behalf of this community, I am sorry, Bungie. I love EVERYTHING about this DLC. Thank you. Deej. Cosmo. Everyone. Thank you for making year two amazing so far!

As for the ones defending the hunt for the Sleeper Simulant, nobody twisted your arm to look HOURS AND HOURS. You could have just done what some of us did... Wait until someone else found it. What do you get out of finding it right away? A rushed set of content and bragging right. Kuddos to you. It's like buying a new car. Sure, you may have it before some others but eventually, that car becomes common and it's not so special, now is it? I have three brothers who play more Destiny than I do and they haven't even gotten one of the Relics needed to start the quest. Be thankful you even had the chance. Others aren't so lucky.
Being a kiss ass? Nah bruh. It's called being supportive. Accepting change and being patient. That's a trait some of you will never understand with Bungie trying to do good with this DLC. For those who did waste your time and are complaining about it, there is no sympathy. That was your own free will.

Have to agree to some extent. Never seen a forum so full of hate and anger. People need to get a grip, it's a game for Christ's sake. No matter what is done there's a hate party ready to pounce on it no matter what. BUNGIE have been ripped to shreds by people who haven't got a clue what they're on about. RNG was hated, so it's been revamped and it's still hated....why? No reason, it's just another thing that can be hated for no other reason than it being there to hate.

My only gripe is that the mission chain is clearly broken. First mission First Firewall appears with no quest entry. The next day the gunsmith gives you a quest which has First Firewall as its step 1. Yeah... Broken quest. Hope they fix it. As far as the people who convinced themselves that this was some crazy exclusive ultimate Easter egg hunt... Sorry. Not sure why you thought that. Business models are usually based around pleasing the majority to maximize profits while pacifying the angry minority. If the only way to get the gun was hugely complex and time consuming the masses would flip their shit. So Bungie can't win, they can only minimize the fall out.

The gun doesn't suck, however it was overhyped by Bungie. So we are allowed to complain about that. The quest was overhyped (read game informer info). The quest felt thrown together at the last minute (note: no dialogue and they used the loading screen theme from the dark below). The gun itself is fun, but it's not worth the exotic slot.

Don't worry, shame is a step on the path to acceptance. You will soon realise that we live on a rock, flying haphazardly in the cosmos merely awaiting destruction, and that we are all doomed to die horribly. This is what Destiny Y1 PVP has taught me as a Defender Titan.

What has to be understood here is that a big reason why Year 2 is amazing thus far is b/c those of us in Year 1 complained to Bungie continuously in a similar fashion...grant it that some Guardians aren't as civilized as they should be, but if those of us in Year 1 didn't complain like you see complaining here in Year 2 your post here may very well have been a complaint instead.

It is so much better then the RNG luck that we had to deal with for the past year.

2 RepliesI'm with you man. The quest line was a breath of fresh air for an exotic quest. I looked at the Reddit threads on this and laughed every time. There is stretching the facts or phrases to make an argument go your way. The things people were saying and postulating were downright dumb. Any player who complains for engaging in an action that was completely their own, is simple. Bungie has added more RPG elements to their quest lines. This added some depth, not a lot, to how we enjoyed the game and side stories. Bungie didn't declare anything specific about quest rewards. Any player claiming they were suckered by Bungie is wrong, those players deluded themselves.

1 ReplyThe time gate, that's the only problem. Everything else is fine. The time gate artificially extends the life of the game. I like the quests, they could put every exotic behind a quest for all I care. Don't put them behind dailies, and definitely don't lock them up for a month or more just to extend the life of the game.

1 ReplyThe problem is we hate 100% rng and we want quest but when the quest is mostly wait X time do two things then wait Y time and do 1 more step now wait till reset/arms day for your gun to arrive, we get mad. Look at first curse, 4 weeks of grinding to get to rank 5 just to wait two more just to get the gun. More of the steps are waiting then actual challenges.
