I'm ashamed to be a part of this community..
You guys are pissed because of how the SS thing worked out? You're basically bullying the company for actually doing something different. You want to go back to RNG for everything? Half of you would be complaining about Boolean Gemini, Ace of Spade, Etc etc. Bungie tried something new and you slapped them in the face for it.
On behalf of this community, I am sorry, Bungie. I love EVERYTHING about this DLC. Thank you. Deej. Cosmo. Everyone. Thank you for making year two amazing so far!

As for the ones defending the hunt for the Sleeper Simulant, nobody twisted your arm to look HOURS AND HOURS. You could have just done what some of us did... Wait until someone else found it. What do you get out of finding it right away? A rushed set of content and bragging right. Kuddos to you. It's like buying a new car. Sure, you may have it before some others but eventually, that car becomes common and it's not so special, now is it? I have three brothers who play more Destiny than I do and they haven't even gotten one of the Relics needed to start the quest. Be thankful you even had the chance. Others aren't so lucky.
Being a kiss ass? Nah bruh. It's called being supportive. Accepting change and being patient. That's a trait some of you will never understand with Bungie trying to do good with this DLC. For those who did waste your time and are complaining about it, there is no sympathy. That was your own free will.

To be fair, the whole thing did seem kind of half assed. Granted this is an experimental game, but still. They don't tell us its on a timer, the "missions" are basically missions we've done before, but with little to no voice overs or anything. Little to no context on why or how we know to obtain it and so on. I would have understood if it was a cryptic way of getting it, but there wasn't. The codes were the only cryptic thing about it, and even those weren't hard for people to figure out.

It's nice to be able to earn a weapon like that without having to rely on RNG, but there were quite a few people who spent weeks doing research and performing experiments in the game to try finding it. This was an entertaining way to earn a powerful exotic, but there was no reason for Bungie not to speak up when it saw this massive hunt and tell people "hey, relax, it's nowhere NEAR that complicated! You'll get your chance soon enough!" The fact that they let people put in all this effort to find this weapon when it was entirely unnecessary is why people are angry about it. Communication would have made all the difference in the world.

I continue to enjoy this game. I applaud Bungie for trying a different approach to acquiring exotics. They have to continue to evolve and apply new ideas to this game. I like that this game differs from all of the other games on the market. Is it absolutely perfect ? No, it isn't. I haven't yet seen a game developer make "the perfect game". Having said that, again, I thoroughly enjoy Destiny for what it offers.

If Bungie plans on "extending" the amount of time it will take us to find new excotics, and this their plan, then we have ALL of the right to be mad at them and you can't deny that, if time-gating exotics is their idea of extending the playtime, then they are lazy as -blam!-, or Activision is just forcing them to. Either way, your post is pointless, and you can not speak for the people who spent time of their lives following useless hints to a time -blam!-ing gated event. THAT is what pisses us off, not how easy the quest ended up being.

I have Addiction Problems in my life and Destiny played me like a fiddle. I hope at least one person will google some of this because it's not BS... You are getting used. No IN GAME MAPS, REPETATIVE GAMEPLAY, NO MEANS to assemble a quick team to do anything in the game... having to rely on 3rd party websites... all which belittles you and challenges you to jump through hoops to pick up another retread of the same weapon over and over and over again...The last RAID they released is like a circus for trained monkeys... c'mon... jump in order, shoot shoot shoot, run to a black orb then run around in circles... WTH???... So glad I woke up...hope others who struggle with this game will move on as well.. your quality of life will improve. All money making BLAM - BAGS will call me nuts and make fun of me while they suck on bungies nip... don't care... just looking out for those with addictive behavior... check yourself and make sure this is what you want to do with your one and only life... if it is... The better your game gets, the more people pick apart and complain about the smallest things...Don't worry Bungie, you will NEVER be able to please 100% of your players. I for one am pretty damn happy with my SS, it took a lot of hard work on the last SABRE mission and I feel like I earned my spartan laser *rolls away on wooden, hand-carved heelies and tips his fedora*

People are mostly pissed with how much work they put into trying to find the SS when Bungie had it locked behind a timegate the entire time, and it really is quite infuriating that they kept hinting that the SS could be found. Also doesn't help when the content was released it was bloody easy, the entire thing feeling like a cake walk. To sum up Bungie sent a community on a wild goose chase, didn't say anything for weeks as people kept trying harder and harder to find the goose, and then after the weeks had passed revealed the goose was under the table and gave it to the community essentially meaning that they had waisted all their time trying to find it, because it wasn't actually possible to find the goose.
