SHOT PACKAGE REMOVED FROM ALL SHOTGUNS!
Lol @ people who use shotguns as a crutch.
Rangefinder will still be a problem but still. At least this eliminates most Matador / Felwinter's now. Can't wait to snipe in peace.

4 RepliesIf you don't like shotguns then don't get that close! I don't play PvP that much but I do know how to play with the weapons I have equipped. Granted I usually still get killed but when I do I don't go checking their weapon perks out and saying "that's why I died! Because you have that perk". Truth is I usually die because I sucked and that's probably why you usually die and probably why we all usually die and NOT because of a perk!

I didn't mind shot package a lot, and I rarely use shotguns so this won't affect me much. But at least it a little even: bungie "removed" final round from snipers and now they got rid shot package.

Good snipers wont get killed by shotguns anyway. I've never had a problem with them as I just make sure they dont get close enough to use it.

Good. No matter how much they nerf shotguns, it will just keep getting better. I don't use shotguns with range upgrades, I put my Matador away a long time ago.

It does not happen a lot though with current meta. They will patch shotguns into the ground like they did with auto rifles, I see it coming.

7 RepliesI'm a bit angry at this actually. I prefer shotguns to snipers but I can snipe. However, they are nerfing shotguns to the hilt yet snipers are not being nerfed in any way at all. Here's why I say this. Shotguns are a close proximity only weapon. You take the risk and you reap the rewards. Snipers? Well, depending on the talent of the wielder, you can be sniped from across the map or from 5 feet away and it's still a one shot kill. My nerf idea would be to make quick scoping a lot harder to do or the scoping mechanism a bit longer to zoom in. That or allow shotguns to keep their potency.

Whilst I have no issue with trying to balance guns out what is unfair is that a lot of people would have used a lot of materials and motes of light to try and get perks such as Shot Package. Again, no issue with them taking it away, but maybe they should give some weapon parts and motes of light for every shotgun that has that perk removed!
