I don't main a titan, but used one in year one. The striker was my favorite over the defender and to me had to be played conservatively, to counter super as you've said. Ive only ever gotten killed before using fist of havoc while after animation continued. Never during. Ive taken nova bombs and died only after i landed the fist. Ive never been able to kill a striker mid fist with a shotgun, only just before the leap. My bladedancer cant kill one even with two hits while in mid fist either. I Only ever killed a striker mid fist was with razor edge wave and that only worked at considerable distance. Am I calling for a nerf of sunbreaker? No. But Im not going to pretend like the striker got a armor nerf. My guess is you got a taste of lag and the game screwed you out of a kill. And to clarify, Im assuming you gotta be using unstoppable fist of havoc. Cuz without it, no shit you'll be taken out sometimes.

  • I never used unstoppable because I never needed it. I always preferred shoulder charge. That being said, before 2.0, Shotguns never killed me mid FoH, neither had rockets. But since, I've been consistently killed by both, across multiple games against different opponents. I'm not the only titan who has felt this. In the week leading up to year 2, when we could play Rift and Mayhem with the newly balanced weapons, I exclusively played on my titan, even though I personally do best with my hunter (although my lock is the only one to have gone flawless). Anyways, when I used FoH, 9 times out of 10, I was killed before I hit the ground. Even more infuriating, Bungie buffed golden gun so they could kill us mid FoH, now the counter super isnt be able to counter the super. Don't get me wrong, I want the game to be balanced as much as the next guy, but Bungie has shown no love for the titan in year 1. They finally give us some wiggle room, something to shove into the face of the smug hunters and warlocks sitting upon their ivory towers in the Crucible. Now that their position has been challenged, they cry out to the "gods" to strike down their opposition. Imagine how we titans feel. And the icing on the cake? Warlocks get their own FoH in landfall, but it's even better, because it blinds what ever survives. How would you feel if another class got a better version of your super? It tells us titans that Bungie doesn't care about us, making an entire subclass virtually null and void via a single perk on another. Whenever this subject is brought up, I got off on a tangent. It really fires me up. The Titan needs more love; We built the Wall for gods sake. We are the reason the Last City stays safe. But thats not what we are known for, is it. We are trash in pvp, and slaves in pve. I've said it before, It is not a good time to be a titan, it never is.

  • I should've known bungie would over do it when it came to "balancing" the supers. I didn't know they buffed golden gun. I don't see why it needed it. Even if it did, why nerf foh? To limit the usage of shoulder charge? Idk. I liked to use the helmet that grants unstoppable foh for the sake of using shoulder charge(even though its an ugly helmet). But still since 2.0 , haven't been able to kill a striker mid foh. I guess ill try harder to pull it off just to see.
