It's so confusing when someone joins a fireteam with a female character and ends up being a dude (*cue Aerosmith*).
Do they all just want the D? But seriously, can any guys who do this shed some light on.. why?
I feel like someone pulled an Oprah, "You get a female warlock, and YOU get a female warlock! Everyone gets female warlocks!"
Edit: Jesus H. Christopher, I'm curious. I've noticed this quite often since I started playing, and I can't answer this question for myself, so I wanted some insight. inb4more "why do you even caaaaare?!!1!?!?"
Edit again: holy -blam!-, I'm a girl. Hence why I don't have insight to why this happens.
Edit, take three: thanks to everyone who gave a legitimate answer! I appreciate the insight :-)

Some players do it solely for aesthetic purposes. And there are players that take in the possible tactical advantage. I don't know if it's true for this game, but typically female characters are built smaller and thinner than male characters. Character design can alter the hitboxes to be smaller and more difficult to hit. Even if all characters hitboxes were exactly the same, the appearance of the character itself can be a factor ala mind games. For me, it's aesthetic. But my main is a male exo hunter soooo.. Yea..
