Destiny is going to die without ranked playlists / Custom Lobbies
There is no easy way to say it...
This game has so much potential, but without a way to track growth, or provide competitive goals to aspire to,
Destiny is going to fall apart.

10 RepliesIt's not going to die but the idea could help the Destiny population grow exponentially. Bringing back old players who quit and enjoyed pvp could change their mind. That's actually one of the main reasons why I came back to Destiny because of the smooth fluid gun play/game play mechanics. I quit during the beginning or before House of Wolves (i played about 2 weeks of trials of osiris) and came back late first week of when the new raid came out in TTK. It's not a bad idea but I just want to throw this out there: I'm a pvp player and I play both pvp and pve. Destiny isn't competitive at all, it's the people that are. If Destiny was suppose to be competitive everyone would start out with the same weapon load out, same grenades, same supers, same jumps, and have to grab the big weapons inside the map when the match starts to take control of the game. Being a day one player Bungie this time around for the past year and this new year still cater more to the casuals instead of the die hard players (besides iron banner and trials). Time and time again they still do a lot of things to make this game easier and less of a grind for the majority so to all the die hards that worked for certain gear or weapons or emblems and shaders before Bungie made things easier to acquire for the majority - devalued their worth. They want to make this game fun while not making it competitive like Halo. Bungie, when they were making this game, did not intend to make Destiny a competitive game from the very start. This was meant to be for fun and they wanted to appeal to all kinds of people to pick up this game and play. It's rated T+ for Teen for a reason. If it's a business move to make revenue and etc, well they knocked out two birds with one stone. That's all I gotta say.

Destiny is a cooperative based game, they just added PvP as an extra.

Im sorry to break it to you but destiny was not advertised as a pvp only game it was advertised as a pve with pvp elements so there is a bigger pve player base so I just don't understand why you would think that by the love the videos man

2 RepliesRanked matches? People can't even play IB and ToO without cheating. This was one of the reasons people started quitting COD (hacking and cheating).

Edited by The 7th fall: 10/10/2015 7:41:21 AMYou know this guy is right, and it's now common occurrence to see boosters in rumble for certain bounties, and even the sword and certain Shaxx quests in those questlines. Hell, I used to have around 15-20 people do nothing but PvP for quite a while, now for them it's a chore to clear and move on to something else. I myself loved PvP, but of late it's just repainted maps and even more tedious shotgun trench warefare matches. Even with the removal of shot package, most will just say "We'll use the Conspiracy Theory we got from completing nightfall quest" because it has Rangefinder and Rifled Barrel, AND it has 300 attack. Hell in the early days of Crucible I used nothing but shotguns because everyone else was doing the same. To topic there does need to be a ranked and custom matchmaking system, because games without them normally fall fast and hard, or gradually without being able to climb back up.

1 ReplyI see the PvE crowd is out in force. It needs custom matches. Period. Even if there are no rewards for it, it would still be a great addition and add loads of playability and the potential for tournaments. Everyone loves a good streamed tourney!
