I played games that introduced it and found the experience no longer enjoyable.
Emphasis on the If
If
If people
If it does.

IF
As some have mentioned, this game is very loot based. So if we end up buying everything then the game will get boring fast. Hopefully these micro transaction end up just cosmetic.
Pay2win: Using real life money so that you can buy strange coins, material, marks, legendary gear, exclusive guns, glimmer, etc.
If
Edit:
Well due to the datamining, it may end up being p2win soon.

Edited by Kveer5509: 10/6/2015 2:28:32 AMI have been playing video games for well over 20 years. I have yet to see a good game become "pay to win". We should relax. Bungie and Activision may do stuff that infuriates us. But at the end of the day they both want money, and some level of good will from the players so we buy more games from them. They know full well that if we had to buy our guns and gear with real money, the game would die and so would the potential profits of any expansions or sequels. That is a lot of money to lose for some chump change up front.

I'm gonna keep playing the game but I'm not gonna buy any silver or something from the store

Probably.

If and only

Sure. IF. And only if.

As long as it stays cosmetic and they don't start locking the best shaders and stuff behind paywalls, though they've already seen how much money people will "throw at their screen" like $20 for a few emotes, so I'm somewhat wary of where this could lead.
-
IF that happens, then hells yeah imma bounce, but I honestly think a lot of people are jumping the gun and complaining a bit too early. No ones forcing emotes down your throat, son... ._.
tho if I see a sick ass dance imma buy that shit
-
Yes. Pay to win sucks. Im 100% fine with cosmetic items though. Could wind up getting us FREE dlc, witch would =...
doesn't throw money at screen...?
damn straight

If it becomes pay to win, yes I'll quit. So far, that's not anywhere near where it's going. I hope they keep microtransactions as wants, instead of gradually shifting it into a need
-
-
Fallout and blackops will be out, so go ahead and nickle and dime us. There is plenty of content in others games I can play.
-
Why wouldn't I? Micro Transactions are legitimate proof that bungie is just another greedy company
-
Not sure how Destiny will become "pay to win". - No matter what gun you use Crucible still mostly relies on player skill, and when gun is a factor (as with Thorn) there are other guns available that offer a good counter (TLW). So unless Bungie started selling obscenely over powered guns or armor I can't see how you could "pay to win" in Crucible. - PVE isn't competitive, so I'm not sure how you're "paying to win" here either. Even if Bungie was offering super weapons for sale it wouldn't matter, since we can all complete content at our own pace. The only way this becomes a problem is if players start demanding certain weapons in order to participate in content (as was common in Year 1), and thats a player problem, not a Bungie problem.
-
Pay to win yes. As long as they keep the current system with only cosmetics then it is fine.

Edited by Claireon_Call: 10/6/2015 1:54:38 AMPay to win, yes. Cosmetic items idiots will buy to give me free dlc? No. We'll see how it ends up, at the end of all things.
