I played games that introduced it and found the experience no longer enjoyable.
Emphasis on the If
If
If people
If it does.
If
IF
As some have mentioned, this game is very loot based. So if we end up buying everything then the game will get boring fast. Hopefully these micro transaction end up just cosmetic.
Pay2win: Using real life money so that you can buy strange coins, material, marks, legendary gear, exclusive guns, glimmer, etc.
If
Edit:
Well due to the datamining, it may end up being p2win soon.

"IF" it becomes pay to win... Halo 5 is where I'll be for the next couple years.
-
If, yes. Packing my bags in anticipation as we speak.
-
I'd probably still play it's just I will be really mad thinking about it
-
If I have to pay just to get some gear that other people have so I can compete? Of course I'll quit.

Edited by Vendicta: 10/14/2015 5:50:33 AMI'm quitting in the 6th anyways

The 3oC was the testbed to see if there was a market for grind time reduction. Many people spend quite a few or all of their SC on 3oC. My guess is Bungie will introduce alternative means of aquiring expediency through monetary means. Destiny is grind based. Lessening the grind is attractive to those that don't have countless hours to play due to their work/family schedules. People who work more often have "more" expendable income. Income can be used to acquire said expediency. It's a cash cow.
-
Yes and...I think it is more of a 'When' and not an 'If'.
-
If it goes pay-2-win. Yes. Instantly. But as long as the purchasables remain cosmetic I support the idea. I consider pay 2 win a cancer on gaming. The buy your victory model is dev sponsored cheating and discrimination against the poor.
-
I personally find it already pay 2 win in a way. By the fact that they took vanilla destiny content and made it so that you need dlc in order to have access to them again. But that's my opinion.

Edited by W4TCHMYTR4CER: 10/14/2015 5:50:54 AMIf ..yes, I'm not paying for items they will nerf or probably discontinue in some way or another I'm not paying for repeat drops I'll dismantle, since the loot system isnt smart after all. And I'm certainly not paying for xp buffs since the level caps will always raise.. Such a shame ..if But if they promised to always bring gear forward and never buff it then what's a few pounds here n there over ten years ..but they have proved time and time again we can't trust that. Had high hopes, but ttk has kinda killed it for me, reluctant to earn anything that I probably won't be able to keep or use long term ..seems a waiste of time Imagine if they sold ghorn, everyone would of baught it. So you would of payed for a near useless exotic shard in the end. No thanks, rather spend my money on something else Made a mistaken with the suros pack, not falling for it again
-
Yes. With Halo 5 around the corner that will be the game I spend hours on instead of Destiny. They will have lost me as a customer who has been here since the days of Halo 2. They better plan their next moves carefully and not let Activision walk all over them.
-
No no no and no thankyou
-
Completely.
-
Shameless bump.
-
I already see myself leaving for Fallout 4. I've been playing destiny since the beta but that's only because there was no new Fallout game.
-
Variks: yessssss
-
I would leave and never return
-
I'm all for it. Why do I say this? Then I can use my fulltime job and limited playtime to become in 2 mins what the no job lazy live with my mom participation trophy winners achieve fromplaying 16 hrs a day get. Yea I said it! Bwuhahahahahaha!
-
Yeah, but i doubt they will put weapons as purchasable content.
-
-
Definitely.
-
-
Yea.. Not challenging anymore
-
-
Absolutely not a doubt in my mind and that's legit ...bye bye destiny
