BRING BACK RE-FORGE.
Player x gets amazing weapons with amazing rolls. Player y gets nada and when he gets a good gun the perks ruin it.
Re forge is essential at this point.

10 RepliesReforge is the reason why shotguns damn near ruined crucible. Everyone just rerolled for rangefinder and shot package. Reforge removed that feeling of awesome surprise you felt when you got the perfect gun with the perfect perks that. You knew that there was little chance that other players had the same gun you did. And you felt unique. Reforge removed that aspect of the game. Which sounds more fun to you; doing a game activity and being rewarded with a sweet unique weapon or standing in front of the gunsmith for an hour and just holding down the same button over and over again?

4 RepliesNo way. Rerolling narrows the assortment of guns used. Everyone starts using the same guns. It's takes away the rarity of some stat combos. It's cheapens the item based aspects of this game. Makes it a shorter and easier game. And reduces the variety in weaponry used

Reroll makes the game stale. Glad I don't see the same weapons with the same exact rolls anymore.

1 ReplyI would truly like to see Re-Rolling come back but for all equipment not just weapons. Also I would like to see some method of control added when it comes to re-rolling gear (espically armour with it's variable stat boosts and perks).

1 ReplyI don't think that the main problem here is that the perks are what make a weapon op but what its base stats are that make the difference. All the wepon perks that are in game are not meant to give a weapon op stats, they are there to give it a little bit of an increase which shouldn't make it a game changer (unless it is an exotic). even with bad perks shotguns like Party Crasher and Felwinter Lie were still very strong. If I were to look at it on what can make shotguns more fair it be good to make it so that at close range without precision damage it just brings your shields down. This way it would truly be a weapon that compliments melee like in Halo when you use the shotty to being shields down then melee them for the kill.

4 RepliesWhen they first introduce reforging for weapons it was a good step because even if it wasn't around then it would take longer to find out what weapons have strong states and what perk rolls compliment it and make it better. Before reforging the issue with certain shotgun states was not that well known but now with an increase in players using felwinter and increasing its stats with better rolls showed how the weapon needs more balancing. Taking away reforging only brings us back to the same issue in the beginning with what weapon needs more balanced stats since now with more diversity with players using different weapons it will take longer. I would like to see it come back and continue providing the needed feedback that can balance out the stats of a weapon with its perks because the perks should only improve the weapon by a small margin (unless it's an exotic these are made to be rule breakers which I can accept). I would also like to see armor reforging so that I can have less gear in my inventory and a matching appearance to my loadout.

I agree. Plus, it's not like you have an advantage over another player. The reforge option is available to all equally. There is nothing that I can do that you can't. The only difference is that I might have the gun that you don't have. And that's why usually those people crying for a nerf on a specific weapon are the ones who don't possess that weapon. Because if you did, you wouldn't be asking for a nerf on a gun that you like to use to your own advantage. Therefore, I vote for reforge.

Kings fall raid last night: 1st run, drops only moldering shards. Defeats oryx and exchanges 20 moldering shards for..... 2 moldering shards. 2nd run. Same damn thing. Raid drops are broken if this is possible. I literally got nothing

My buddy played undying mind for what felt like forever to get his loop. When he did he was so pumped, until he saw the perks and found out it was basically a piece of toilet paper. I personally wanted the stars and finally got it after days of grinding strikes. And let me tell you the perks suck. Lol. I would love to reroll that bad boy. Legendary marks, gun parts, glimmer, motes of light, he'll even exotic shards, take whatever you want just let me roll baby.

6 RepliesNo, because it removes the fun of random drops, plus the gun perks alone wont make or break you in crucible. Having everyone running with the most OP guns with percect rolls got annoying and boring quickly. If only 5% have perfect rolls, they wont have an overwhelming change to crucible. Everyone having them tho makes the few who dont have it really noticeable

I think the ones saying no because of crucible are those same people who grew up getting participation trophy's in sports. Everybody deserves to be treated like a winner. No, no they don't. If you're a loser and you lost just own it. Move on its a game, besides you'd have a better chance if you reroll a weapon till it suits you as a player. That's what reroll was about.

I'm honestly glad they got rid of it - now 9 out of 10 guardians in the crucible won't be running around with the exact same guns with the exact same perks. Variety is good - I don't care if someone else got more lucky than me and found that perfect shotgun or scout rifle - the weapon is only as good as its wielder anyway.
