I can't find anything to corroborate what you said about the interactive machines but you gave me an idea: What if the 50 golden age relics are the scanning patrol missions? On the Moon, we have the logs from the Accelerator Core, The Accelerator itself just on the Archer's Line. Maybe there are 50 of them. Maybe we have to do all 50.
