Petition to Bungie: Lack of connection is YOUR fault, not ours!

I have tried everything. Hard reset my router and xbone 10 times a piece TODAY. Manually forwarded all appropriate ports, tried dmz enabling. Set static ip address on the console. I have done everything I can to get this game working, and it still won't let me land in the f\+/=ing cosmodrome long enough to even start a patrol before I get kicked with a beetle/sheep/anteater/baboon error. I've had more errors pop up in the past HOUR than the entire previous YEAR. My ISP hasn't changed, my hardware hasn't either. The only change is, you guessed it, TTK. Bungie, you are not fixing this issue. You are giving your devoted players BS "answers" by saying it MUST be our fault. Excuse me but did a quarter of your players suddenly get crappy internet RIGHT when TTK dropped? Cut the crap and fix this damn issue. Please Guardians, I'm begging you, bump this thread so Bungie will stop bullshitting and just fix their servers already. Update 9/25/15 6:09 pm I have called my isp (unhelpful, none of them know anything) and they are getting good signals from me according to them. Spoken with xbox live support, they had me reset my Mac, forward all ports, and uninstall/reinstall the entire game and dlc. No avail. Attempted to contact Activision support, they directed me to this forum. Nat lists as open or at times moderate, which is not crazy cuz it's worked on moderate pre-ttk. Interestingly, when it lets me join a party and fireteam and I'm not the host, I get the "contacting destiny servers" message frequently but was not kicked to orbit after roughly 30 minutes of strikes. What does that mean? Seeing as my isp hasn't changed a thing, I'm thinking Bungie got super picky about people having perfect internet when TTK came out and increased the threshold of acceptability for latency and packet loss. For those of you who would say "see it IS your isp's fault", let me remind you my isp worked fine for this game before this last dlc. The only difference between now and then is the dlc itself. Edit 2: [b]FOR ANYONE WHO READS THIS. Bungie did reply to this thread, and offered no solution or admittance of guilt on their part. [/b]Don't let that little blue tag next to the title fool you into thinking it means they've fixed it or done their due diligence.

  • Hi Asthmatic Elk, Are you on wifi? If so, can you please try switching to a wired connection temporarily? This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out wireless signal strength/stability as a possible cause of the issues you are encountering.

    • My problems didn't start until this past weeks patch and PS4 3.0 update so not sure which one did it for me but I constantly since then have been getting the weasel caterpillar baboon centipede and beaver errors but mainly weasel and baboon

        • I'm having similar issues. I'm able to play PVP games with little to no problems. Having mostly issues playing quests or doing story missions. Keep getting Anteater errors. I can't turn into a Storm Caller. Already called my ISP and tried every fix in the book. I'm leaning towards a problem in Bungie's servers.

        • Let me get this straight. The majority of players are playing the game with no connection issues, but you are, so it must be bungie's fault? Everything you've just said leans very strongly towards an issue on your end. Fix your connection, and stop your bitching.

          • I quit playing for a few months back after TDB because of connection issues. Came back right after HOW just to see how it was, everything was doing OK, up until now. I think I'm ready to quit again. It's no fun playing when you're constantly kicked due to connectivity. It is Destiny's servers, because I don't have this problem with any of the other games I play.

          • At least you can get in. I cant even log in. I keep getting "Could not connect to the Destiny servers. Please try again later." This just started happening after I downloaded TTK... oh yeah, its been almost 2 days btw. So my plan to play TTK this weekend aint gonna happen. P.S. All my other online games work flawlessly. Except Destiny. So no, its not my side.

              • Word for word I have had the exact same experience. Destiny was working fine up until the first time I booted up TTK. Have tried every solution recommended. Using a wired connection and all the stats look good. And again, nothing has changed except for TTK. Maybe not everyone is affected but enough seem to be to suggest that it is not on the user's end (or not completely). At least some sign that Bungie is even looking into it would be appreciated.

                • La mia ps4 è impostata su nat 2, ma destiny non lo capisce e dice che sono in nat 3 dando un sacco di problemi alla mia esperienza di gioco. Vengo continuamente buttato fuori dalla torre, non posso usare la chat vocale e spesso fatico a vedere altri giocatori in giro per i pianeti. Ho provato a connettermi wireless e Lan. Nessun cambiamento. Dato che come tutti ho pagato il gioco e tutte le espansioni gradirei che la situazione sia risolta. Ho chiamato pure un tecnico pagandolo 50 euro per vedere se avessi sbagliato qualcosa nell'apertura delle porte del mio modem...per poi arrivare alla conclusione che il problema non sono io ma siete voi. Fate qualcosa

                • BUMP THIS SHIT!!! It's tearing me apart!!! I just want to go a week with no error codes. Maybe even a day. HELL ONE NIGHT!!!! IF YOU BUNGIE CANT FIX EM, take them out. I have no doubts that anyone who complains about these haven't been told how to solve the problem. Even after we do everything humanly possible on our end,... Wait for it,....                       • Bungie please say something I have also been playing since day 1 since last patch of TTK I can't play for more than 5-10 minutes get booted forget trying a party or game chat. Same as everyone else wired tested its on server side. Can u at least say we see and we are looking into please!

                      • Got the same issue changed to a wired connection same thing is occurring and yes bungie does keep giving the same answers. And yes bungie ttk is responsible for hiccups in error activities and constant game lag. I spoke to a Microsoft tech they did a manual test on my machine and guess what it's not me it's you .

                      • Go out and get a powerline adapter and you should be good to go. WiFi is spotty trust at best. Powerline adapter is cheap and will give the same benefits of wired connection without running a 100 ft cable through your house.
