HUGE issue since patch 2.0

Hi guardians, I wanted to report this HUGE issue since patch 2.0. Ever since the patch I am not able to get a single pvp matchmaking. The only way for me to do it is to play with a friend who isn't in the same country as me. Yes because I am in mauritius and I have asked many other local guardians, they reported me the same issue. I have tried everything, port forwarding for Destiny and PSN, called ISP nothing worked.. I also tweeted to Bungie supported twice but had no answer. This issue is ruining my game experience. (I love pvp ya know!) Any solutions? I have FTTH (Fibre to the house) at 20MB. Check speed test all good. Help please

  • Same issue for me, empty tower and matchmaking took ages to find a match. My connection is good and i can play other multi games without any issue.

  • It's bloody ridiculous. I've been trying to finish the crucible quest. I can't seem to find a single clash match for the last 3 days. Normal control and rift seem to take forever. They screwed up with the taken king. While it does reduce lag reducing the match making pool to geographical locations, I now spend more time looking for a match than actually playing. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED

    • Same here in French Polynesia on PS4. I can only see my fellow Tahitian player in the tower and crucible, strike and any other matchmaking activities goes in an infinite "searching for guardians" loop. It's not related to my NAT, I've contacted my ISP (Mana.pf) and they told me that everything is fine on their end. Tried everything to power cycle, reset of my router, dark incantation. Every other multiplayer game is fine. #Bungie please fix

      • Contacted ISP. From their side they don't restrict any ports. It's up to the user to close/open the port they need. Which are open for PSN and Destiny for me. So the problem is definitely from Bungie. And still no response from them.

      • A friend "Tems" found a way, you may reinitialize your router to factory settings , worked for us living in french polynesia. if it works for you spread the word. ( Hope it will last)

OK, i doubt this will work... but... I had only 1 issue with Destiny since last year's release. On a specific day it would not let me into PvP matchmaking, or matchmake me with anyone for strikes, and in the Tower I was alone. Clearing my console's cache fixed the problem: unplugged XBox One for 5+ minutes and plugged it back in. I could now see the world :-) But my problem doesn't 100% sound like your's but it worth a try. Worst case you save yourself 5 minutes of power on the electric bill :-) Edit, Playstation might also need to manually clear cache as well. I have no idea, I only have an XBone

          • Same thing happen to me, im in Singapore region tho.. and same thing happen to my local friends too.. they werent able to play any crucible since patch 2.0 drop.. the matchmaking is broken.. I'd always got this mongoose message after being booted out of matchmaking.. its kinda sad since ive been playing destiny since its launch and wanting to upgrade all content on a ps4 this fall but now im thinking twice. I hope they fixed this soon on their end as I know it wasnt my internet connection whatsoever as all other online games such as GTA, COD, Diablo3, even DCOU just to name a few works flawlessly.

            • Exactly the same issue for us in French Polynesia! No matchmaking what so ever and empty towers... Was working perfectly before TTK! Please #Bungie fix that issue!
