Rahool awarding the same Exotics over and over again.
When Xur arrived in the Tower early Friday morning, I went ahead and bought 10 Helmet Engrams, 1 Legacy Engram, and the Warlock Gauntlets. Also bought around 50 Three of Coins.
5 of those 10 Engrams turned into the Emphyrean Bellicose. Later that day, after reading up on Kotaku and watching YouTube videos, I went out to try out the Three of Coins and bag me some sweet loot.
After half a day of grinding, I ended up with 3 Primary Engrams, 3 Special Engrams, and 2 Gauntlet Engrams.
Those turned into 3 Hawkmoon, 2Telesto & 1 Hereafter, and No Backup Plans & Ruin Wings.
Quite a long while ago the issue where you received the exact same piece of Exotic Gear from several Engrams was supposed to be fixed, but this bug has once again risen to turn the endless hours of work into Exotic Shards and/or Infusing.
I'm not looking for a specific piece of gear, I just want to not get the exact same item 2-5 times in a row within 3 seconds of each other.

Don't feel bad... Zur had Year 2 helmet for Titan, year 2 helmet for Hunter, and Year 2 Helmet for a Warlock last weekend, and two engrams. Little did I know that the engrams were Year 1... WHO'D OF THUNK.... what a complete waste of 31 strange coins....

1 ReplyAgreed. I have found/bought 8 exotic engrams...all a different times throughout the weekend. 3 were obsidian mind and 3 were the 4th horsemen. I'm -blam!-ing done.

Yeah they apparently didn't fix anything. Bought the three exotics Xur was selling this week insurmountable skull fort, ahamakaras spine and impossible machines (even though I did have two of them already as year 1 versions). Then I bought four helmet engrams. What did I get? -- 2 insurmountable skullforts (making my total 3, or 4 if you count year 1) -- 2 obsidian minds (making my total 3 with my year 1 version) Ugh.

1 ReplyUr prolly doing all the engrams at once! Try doing them one at a time. Give the system a moment to register the new item before u do the next. Yeah it takes longer. But ur prolly more likely to get something u need!

I would add it sucks to get gear for other character that is now too low to use. Got three Titan Exotics. No Warlock. Ripoff.

1 ReplyI have been hearing a lot of this. Maybe they made it so Rahool only decrypts certain Exotics per week, maybe the ToC only drop certain Exotics per week. OR maybe you are just rolling the dice and losing over and over. All three variables are possible and applicable. Keep grinding guardian, the nerf of ToC will be soon I bet.
