These DLCs they keep releasing, it's just basic missions to set up a raid. Since launch we haven't learned anything about our Guardian, got to interact with the traveller/speaker or learned more about the Darkness and the device the FWC used. I don't know about you guys but i would want the next DLC to focus on the EXOs and the stranger, finding out their true purpose and why they were created. That to me is more interesting than some shitty raid.

  • Bungie seems to suffer from severe creativity issues, as well as general laziness. They hype all the changes to boss fights, but at the end of the day, they're still bullet sponges. The 'biggest ever raid' has also been completed on launch day, in half the time it took to finish VoG. Something has gone wrong there.

  • The problem with releasing an expansion that is purely about story and rpg progression is that players would burn through it in 1 day and complain they got ripped off.

  • Most people have already burned threw this content in TTK in one day. I know a few of my friends have

  • They have not. Have they done the raid? Have every exotic? Beaten all the court of oryx stuff? Yeah I don't think so.

Yeah but we're also getting ripped off with raid based DLC, the majority of players will NEVER complete or even attempt one. I've never attempted a raid since i've had the game, neither have the majority of players who own Destiny.

  • Well they are there for your enjoyment. If you haven't played a raid it's not bungies fault. It's yours.

  • No, that's Bungie's fault for putting bugger all social connectivity in the game.

  • Plenty of people had no problem playing those raids. It's your fault that you have no drive to form a fireteam yourself.

How much of the actual player base completed Raids? It ain't the majority. Btw, I tried many times. Never found people to do it, people either quit, disconnected or booted people for no reason. I refuse to use LFG out of principle. If Bungie could've been arsed, they would have added a feature into the actual game. OMM for one offers no downside. The only difference between people on LFG and MM is that you have to do the work yourself. They're still randoms.

  • I've never used LFG. Only met people in game through strikes and the tower and when absolutely necessary the recruitment forum right here. And there is a difference. When you go on the forum or LFG there an understanding about what you're looking for. And you're more likely to meet someone who's actually serious about beating the raid not just oh let's see what this is all about. You need to build a friends list. The raids are for the most part unbeatable with randoms who have no mic. Now I do believe there should be some sort of message feature in game where you could send someone in the tower a signal like, hey let's do VoG, that would be cool. But the only people who would find use for OMM for raids would be vets looking for there 500th speed run. Casuals who never beat a raid would never benefit from raid matchmaking.

  • Yeah, I've got a friends list. Issue is, they're usually kicking off raids with other people. Still no guarantee of completing a raid. Ran Crota's End multiple times and the rest of the team usually gave up.

  • Yeah it can be rough. You do need a solid team.. MM won't help this.

  • But it would allow more people to.access it. Optional matchmaking would let people try it and complete it, while those who prefer current methods could continue using them.

  • In my opinion after running raids with all sorts of people this past year, casual players using MM to try raids would barely ever complete one. And the ones that did would be the ones that friended their fellow players and stuck with it trying to figure it out. Something that you don't need matchmaking for. Because you can already friend and work with people you come across in game. The advantage is that you form the bond pre raid. And therefore don't have to struggle with the lack of communication and teamwork and get frustrated, quit, go on forums and cry about raid being too hard.

  • Without any proof of your account I can't believe you. And if this is true I'm sure you were playing with people who had already beaten it and we're telling you what to do. This is the litmus test. Get 5 people off the forum who have never run VoG. Don't let anyone use a mic and bring them in to run it. Tell us how it goes. They could be level 40 and you wouldn't beat it.

  • There is a lot more social connectivity in this game than most console games. And raids are actually a case in point - that's the best social activity Destiny has. I had a blast last night playing through it blind with 5 friends, all of whom I have met through Destiny. I have never made what I would consider to be an actual friend through any other console game.

  • Except most people can't access them because there's no in game matchmaking or hook up system, aspects which are pretty standard in other MP focused games.

  • I just wish they 1. gave me a FULL game before trying to sell me an expansion and 2. that they did not just pretty much still $100 dollars from me and made the only way to get it back is through another $40 cuz i dont know about you but I did not see that "by agreeing to this you allow Bungie and Activision to be pricks and steal your stuff" in the terms of agreement
granted I did not read it cuz you know who does but none the less I did not see that
