This is ridiculous and it shows how many ridiculous people troll the feedback section. Master Chief is a super soldier with Spartan armor. OK. Cool.
Oryx is a Hive god who can gain control over basically anything that doesn't have the light of the traveler. Master Chief doesn't have that. He'd be taken in 5 seconds. End of story. It'd leave the Guardians to deal with a Taken Master Chief, which would probably be another raid all on its own.

I had to laugh at the idea of a Raid based on fighting the Master Chief. XD Highlight of my morning.
-
If anyone should gain the light of the traveler, its the madter chief. He only saved the universe how many times???
-
I always thought people had to just be compatible to their ghosts. I mean the Nolanbot claimed that he had seen other ghosts find their guardians, and that it took him over a century to find you. I find it hard to believe that Nolanbot was constantly just barely missing Guardians, meaning that there must be special guardian for every ghost. Of course, that could just mean that some badass ghost with the voice of Macho Man Randy Savage would be the Chief's special ghost.
-
But he can't. He'd have to be dead, and be revived by a ghost. That didn't happen. Precious MC is screwed. Game over for him.
-
No guardians can be taken? I present to you Dredgen Yor and Toland the Shattered.
-
Neither of them were taken. They both went insane when they got too close. They almost willingly fell into their indoctrination. Not really the same thing.
-
I guess I fail to distinguish between 'corrupted by hive magic' and taken. They are both based on the Worms' magic and so it seems likely that a guardian can be taken, as long as they consent to it. In Dredgen Yor's case he accepted the darkness after thinking the fight was pointless. In Toland's case he gave in due to curiosity about the Hive. If they can willingly be taken by the darkness, I think a weak willed guardian could give in to Oryx and be taken as well.
-
There aren't any 'weak' Guardians. All Guardians were chosen by the traveler for a reason. It's one thing to be strong, and then accidentally fall into corruption due to curiosity, but to be initially weak off the bat seems pointless from the traveler's perspective.
-
All guardians are were once human (or robot with a human consciousness) and so it would make sense that they have the same frailties as people. In the grimoire they frequently show doubt, pride, fear, remorse, vengeance, pity or curiosity, so it makes sense that some might be psychologically weaker than others. Ghosts chose people who have a high capacity to use light, that doesn't necessarily mean they have an impervious resolve. I know the game itself makes guardians seem like personality-less automatons, but I think they are really supposed to be far more human-like and that is more a function of poor writing.
-
Reasonable point.
-
You know people say guardians can be taken because they have light yet we never seen something other then minions of the darkness taken is it possible that they need darkness to be taken
-
I believe he can take life. Eris or someone talked about living hosts. We are a dead army. Even the black garden knows we are dead things made by a dead power in the shape of the dead. All we will ever do is kill.
-
Ok thx i knew about the last part but i wasent sure exactly how taking works
-
ya but you almost killed him yourself, and you r just a dude with fancy bow, fiery hammers, or shoot lightning from your finger tips. master chief has more mojo than your guardian will ever have
-
The key thing guardians have is light. That's how we defeat Oryx, master chief has 0 of that
-
How do you know the traveler isn't made by the forerunners, and that "light" is a term made up by guardians instead of some existing term forerunners know of? Guardians have ghosts, forerunners have monitors like 343 guilty spark

Despite being 90% a joke, it actually makes perfect sense.
-
I killed him with a team of 6 Guardians and a lot of trial and error. Lots of wiping before we got it. Master Chief ALONE can't even hurt Oryx without the platforms. This is just ridiculous fanboyism.
-
Hy does it have to take place in the raid why not story mode i know it would not be killing him but
-
OK, even if you're fighting him in the story mode, you need to be able to possess the traveler's light to fight minions of the darkness.
-
Not true the stranger fights
-
The stranger fights the Vex. She avoided the Hive. The Vex don't harness the Darkness.
-
Edited by Damononlive: 10/22/2015 6:48:57 PMIt dosent mean the hive are unkillable with out the light
-
They aren't permanently killable without the light. And the Hive gods can't be killed and barely damaged, if at all, without the light. The darkness consumes everything else.
