My line of reasoning is that they will drop both. When The Dark Below came out you were still able to get legendary engrams that turned into TBD items and you could obtain these engrams from Vanilla Destiny content. When they update the game all of the engrams you get from drops from that point forward are from that current DLC or game, so in the House of Wolves you couldn't get The Dark Below engrams dropped anymore(which only turned into Vanilla Destiny items or The Dark Below items). Since this is the taken king all engrams should be taken king engrams regardless of where you get them. Unless Bungie has a different system in place I think this is the best explanation. EDIT 3: Just wanted to add, the original video of suicide rocketing can also be done by killing draksis and going to orbit. As long as you give yourself enough time you don't need to rocket suicide, the rocket suicide method is just a ton faster. EDIT 4: Found all 12 chests on the Dreadnaught.
