Before we start, I just want everyone to know this is not bashing nerfs or promoting the reinstatement of past crucible menaces. (TLW, Thorn, Teabags, etc.) I would like us all to join in without someone calling other people noobs or other such type demeaning things. To the Point!!!! So 2.0 has hit us like the gatekeeper. Struck fear in the eyes of people so use to using HC's and allowed PR's to emerge from the ashes (RIP Hopscotch). Also, we now have the ability to use AR's, FR's, and SA's as well. I'm a huge PvP fan and almost all of my time on destiny has been in the crucible d!cking around with certain builds or just trying to figure out the nuances of each map. Tonight I put in some time with various guns and came to realize that most people are naturally gravitating toward the "crowd favorites" (Messenger, Red Death, and Bad JuJu) along with...yep you guessed it Shotguns!!! Also, snipers who I appreciate you all beheading me. I love returning the favor. This is my guesstimation on a tier list for the weapons we have so far. NOT SET IN STONE OR ANYTHING YOU SHOULD TAKE NOT SO SERIOUSLY!!! Tier 1: Messenger & Red Death, shotguns and snipers. All heavy weapons Tier 2: exotic AR's (Hardlight, Suros), MIDA, 3LW, NLB, Bad JuJu, TLW, Thorn, Scout rifles. Tier 3: HC's, fusion rifles, Vestian dynasty, QBB, various low impact AR's PR's and Tea Bags. [b]This is in no way a complete list[/b] I haven't had a chance to play more then a week (like the rest of us) but at the moment this is where our metagame stands across leaderboards. I pose these questions to you all. [i]Is this how we want our metagame to shape out? Should the PR's become the standard? Are we facing down a menace that will completely control our lives in PvP (Messenger)? Will the new exotics give warrant to the debuffs in an entire archetype (HC's)? I genuinely think that the PvP community that actually spends most of their time in the crucible has found most of this to be true and I hope the 1% of top players come to share their thoughts and concerns.
