I didn't really read your post, only because there is a grimoire card somewhere that I've sent that talks about how one of the nine, as in the group the xur is part of, goes in to skolas cell and sets him free. Edit: I've been informed that it didn't read to closely and this happened before our encounter with him. My bad.

  • The reason for that is actually really interesting. One of the Nine gifted Skolas with Ahamkara Bones(those horns around his cape), after informing the Queen about the plan. They made him super aggressive in his search for more power, and the Nine knew he would start by going to the Vex. While in the Vault of Glass, he found not only the powers-that-be, but also that the looming threat of Oryx was on his way to us. When you capture him at the Terminus, and the Queen has a 'chat' with him, she interrogates him about what he learned in the Vault. This allows the Queen to inform us that Oryx is pissed off about Crota dying by our hand, allowing the Awoken and the Guardians a chance at preparing for this new foe. Tl;dr, it was allllll just part of the plan. Awwww yeah.

  • It was more than likely Xûr or something related to him but that was before HoW takes place.

  • Ok, I didn't look at it too closely. But then again I'm not a huge lore fan.

Wait, like lore in general, for anything? Or the lore in destiny?

  • In general, I just never rally bother with looking into the lore of games. I'm that guy who will spend his free time when he's not gaming watching tips and strategies about the game tho... I watch wayyy too many crucible videos
