If you have a Walmart internet connection and play Trials.. You are just as bad as any cheater out there. I just witnessed a guy with a red connection run through two rocket launcher blasts with proximity and live to kill me and revive others... Bungie please fix this...COMPETITIVE GAMES SHOULD HAVE A DESIGNATED SERVER!!!!
-
Really? As many have said, most cannot afford a better connection. You are being just bias towards them.
-
I agree, and if the ppl who always red bar want to play then bungie should put all red bars with all red bars all the time so they can dance around the map unable to shoot each other then they will see why we get so frustrated and aggravated by it happening. It literally ruins the pvp experience. It may not always be the users fault but the ppl who know that they are doing it and still play I don't have sympathy for and should be banned from playing pvp, it ruins the game for everyone else.

I have FiOS 75/75. Every now and then I red bar. Its not always the end user...
-
Dam 56k dialup lmfao
-
I red/yellow bar on this game, but on any other game I've played it's fine, go figure
-
yeah, really. a simple red bar latency autokick/ban option should be activated.
-
I'm in a van hiding just outside my nearest McDonald's
-
You know some people can't afford that good of a connection you -blam!-ing elitist we take what we can also some people pay for their internet unlike you who probably lives at your parents house
-
I thought the term was 'Poptart internet', as in running it through a poptart box. Played with a dude playing from Mexico once. He was rubber banding all over the place, running into walls, shooting boxes... it was annoying yeah, but it's generally extremely... EXTREMELY easy to avoid someone whose commection is shit in a can. They tend to be busy walking into walls and shooting a nothing. In other words, relax. Take a chill pill and maybe a glass of Ignorital!

Edited by ALeadFarmnMofo: 8/31/2015 8:33:42 PMSeriously I agree with op, if you can't connect at certain speed you shouldn't be able to sign on to IB! Sorry to say but you can't put a highly competitive mode together if people clearly know their web is garbage. I won't go as far to say they are as bad as cheaters, but if you know your web sucks I guess almost as bad

Me and my fire team report them every time.

If Destiny is to continue with P2P matchmaking the geographic and ping criteria should be far more stringent or at least allow for some filtering at the user end.
-
you also have to consider that "red" means long ping and if you get matched with someone a long way away they will show up this way thank activation for using the cheapest possible way they can to provide matchmaking in multiplayer games if you want a good read look into where they were going with the PC version of mw1 then how it all changed by mw2 and we get stuck with the p2p demonware which has all the problems we all experience don't worry though. black ops 3 will use the exact same setup
-
But what if i live near a walmart and dont want to pay for wifi
-
I'm going to have to ask my local walmart sales rep about their internet package. I didn't know they sold internets.
-
This shows no understanding about lag or how destiny matchmakes. LFG only makes this worse. I live in NZ and play with people from all over the world, my connection to someone on the eastern seaboard of the US or Europe is going to average at best. If Bungie want a competitive game type such as trials, they need regional dedicated servers. Otherwise it's just rubbish even with prioritized connection based matching as LFG negates this.
-
Edited by Nivalack: 9/1/2015 1:16:44 AMYa you can donate the millions of dollars to Bungie so they can afford the dedicated servers! Great plan!
-
Red bars are annoying, but unless they are cheating, every time in my experience, it hurts them more than it hurts you.
-
Dude trust me, the ones with red bars are having a worse time than you
-
from all those who rely on the nearby McDonalds for our wifi i have this to say, its bad for us too every second we red bar we know we either going to come out dead or look like a lag switching teabagging SOB, when i red bar i cant kill shit and when i do they die halfway across the map after running away from me, it sad and infuriating because we get reported because of cheating when its nothing but bad connection, we want to be right there with the enemies lag free but we cant cut us a break, just because every lag switcher has red bar doesnt mean every red bar is a lagswitcher
-
Edited by FCB x Gunners: 9/1/2015 3:22:13 AMA red bar ≠ bad internet. Usually bungies servers are the problem. And no, Destiny does not have any truly competitive game type. Custom matches are truly competitive which destiny does not have.
-
If they have a ping over 100 ms they should get banned in my opinion
-
Red bar doesn't mean u have shitty Internet. Destiny is the only game I lag on. Can play anything else online with no interruptions. It's more or less their servers are shit.
-
You suck for relying on Proximity Rockets.
-
You understand that having a red bar has nothing to do your internet speed but to your connection to the host? I surely understand that, otherwise this must be very embarrassing for you.
