Its still no challange boss mechanics.... Compare it to vog...there is no challange other then boss fire and adds. A gh is still the solution to your problem. Dps ia still the most important thing you need to beat them.

  • Gh isn't getting an upgrade meaning it will be like tossing pebbles at a grizzly bear. Furthermore, what was shown was three max level 40 guardians running through the NORMAL level 36 mode of the strike. If you think the golden dildo will save you, you're in for a terrifying experience.

  • Your missing the point. Replace gh with the next flavor of the month. The point is that dps is the main thing u need to beat it. Thats bad boss design. Max dps will make all strikes a walk in the park. But in vog, a gh wont do u much good if u dont know what to do. Thats good boss design.

    Six Ghorns kill Atheon in 20 seconds. All you have to do is shoot glowing red orbs that don't move or shoot back, or stand in a circle for 15 seconds. Then just pull the trigger seven times. DPS is almost always going to be a factor in Boss battle Design. The point is that the battle requires some strategy (keep moving, kill adds, etc.) if you're doing damage to a boss, DPS will be a factor.

  • That dosnt mean that the solution to every boss should be to "apply dps on boss". Make it intresting and unique. Shot a -blam!-ing rock at the roof and make it fall down on the boss, have armour on the front and only weak spots at the back..anything! Simple small things that makes the bosses unique and more then just dps

  • Have you seen one of the vex strikes, there you have a ball that has to be transfered to a pillar to dmg the boss. It also has a spinning walls that you need to adjust to. The court of oryx will have enemies that for example can only be damaged by cursed thralls exploding near them, or another battle where there is two knights that needs to be close to each other for the shields to dissapear. Is this the mechanics you ask for? Because its coming.

  • You're an idiot. If they add raid mechanics then it's too extreme for most people. Try running king's fall with random people and no mic. That's what most strikes are. People you've never met with no co-ordination. Many people don't play raids for a reason.

  • It dosnt need to be complicated tho. Just a simple thing like armour at the front of the boss, and weak spot at the back. A simple thing like that would atleast make it something more then "apply dps on Target". Have you ever played zelda? There are shitloads of bosses, and every single one of them has some kind of unique mechanics that needs to be figured out to beat the boss. They are simple, but it makes every boss unique. It dosnt need to be Atheon level complexity.

  • They have that with hydras. Besides, what if you have to tackle the boss solo and you give it mechanics that need multiple people? Right now that strike was hard enough to stay alive in, adding in something like that would make it even harder to kill the boss since the bosses are always facing you, and a solo player couldn't do anything against them.
