Saw this coming. Despite the fanboys trying to silence anyone who disagrees with what Bungie are doing. Maybe this will wake them up to the reality. For instance when we said tonnes of people quit because the game is confusing and they have deliberately made it hard to just party with random people in game. Fanboys championed LFG and other such sites. Forgetting that you are talking to mainly kids and they shouldn't even be trawling for (or directed to trawl for) people on an external site! No other multiplayer game would direct them to do this it's insane! Then we have players being told what weapons and armour to find relevant. Hu? A game about choice and building OUR legend but, we are constantly told what to do. If we don't do it their way we get forced to by them simply altering the game mechanics or rendering our stuff useless. Who remembers the famous VoG sniper platforms! Those were in the game for a reason i.e. so that you could snipe the oracles and Templar without getting killed needlessly. It was 100% how the encounter was meant to be played (as anyone who played the original will tell you) with the bonus feature that you got an extra chest if you went down and stopped the Templar teleporting. Then, because we all started using the platforms to survive they get restricted to only enemies and we get told "That's not how WE want you to play that encounter". On to weapons. No-one dislikes new weapons. The problem is that they are not introduced in a good way. My old guns don't gradually loose their usefulness as I find new ones of the same level and then better levels. Instead they just suddenly become useless. Suddenly a primary weapon with solar becomes useless because a primary with plain old kinetic has better damage?!?! The only thing that tells me is that I'm trading some extra damage for a less spec'ed gun. It's a sour taste. The new weapon should have BETTER or equal perks not lesser perks but, just more damage. That's not a trade up that's a hollow numbers game! In any other game I would be trading an AR (or whatever) for an AR with a silencer that reduces my radar ping or a sword of lightning + whatever for a higher level sword of fire/lightning/void/whatever + more damage. I never feel that throwing that old sword away (or converting it into parts) is detrimental to my progress. It's stuff like this that is destroying the game for many. It's simple stuff like this that they need to address.

  • Maybe you should read the new edge article before flaming? The problem is people are way too entitled and can't be patient. Now I know buying the TTK collectors edition was a great decision.

  • I read the entire edge article. It was a lot of lofty talk that we've heard before. On our gear: "...enable that sense of creativity and player expression. Those things are really important". On player history and experience: "It's the story of the acquisition of power and gear, and playing with your friends. ... the story you're playing now is your story." Except that by forcing most of what we've worked for in Y1 into obsolescence, they're erasing that history - they're rewriting our story. My Queen's Guard Plate - gone. My Iron Regalia gauntlets - gone. My A.1F19X-RYL scout rifle - gone. To use any of these items in Year 2 will mean seriously handicapping myself. A story without those things may still be a story - it's just not MY story.

  • You could bitch about anything, the entitlement is strong in this one.

  • Two posts in a row you bring up entitlement when that's not what it's about at all. Another white knight.

  • Because you are and extremely ungrateful. Words that maybe you should hear.

  • Words I don't think you understand. They're not doing me a favor - Bungie aren't good samaritans. I've paid for their product / service and if I'm dissatisfied then I'm going to let them know that. Everyone points out that Bungie is a business, except when your feedback is negative. Suddenly I should be grateful. Grateful for what - that they made the game at all? That they are willing to - out of the goodness of their hearts - sell me more content? Please stop.

Lol. Listen to the words that you are typing down. You are entitled and seem very ungrateful for the entertainment that is given to you. You feel like that this game should be what you want it to be and if that were the case it wouldn't be fair to everyone else. People need to understand yes they will listen to you but they are not going to cater to your every little whim.

  • Nothing has been given to me. I have a job, I work, I earn money, I used that money to purchase the game. I would like to see it improve, so I'm providing my feedback... which Bungie has repeatedly solicited. You're not even addressing the feedback just attacking those who choose to offer theirs. You're not part of the dialog, you're just noise causing disruption. I'm done, you're not worth my time. The worst possible kind of fanboy. Ignore all flaws, attack any who might point them out. Muted.

  • Aww it's sad that you don't comprehend when things get better. The article even states it with all the new content coming but it's still not good enough for you. You're entitled.

Bungie has done a lot which they could have improved on, but I disagree with the point on the sniper towers for Templar. The fight was highly degraded on those things, and do you honestly think that was THE way to play it? All those adds and oracles on the other side of the map were supposed to be ignored and you just cleansed through mark?

  • Templar aside, how do you feel about destroying group coordination by having Atheon randomly choose people to teleport instead of those that were further away. Beyond that, their excuse that this functionality was a "bug", which is laughable at best...

  • It was definitely dissapointing. Although, Bungie believed that this would encourage all players to learn all about the raid, it did not end that way at all.... people simply did not master anything. I don't know how many levels 34's I've met now that have trouble with all of VoG. At least it was a change done in good nature.

  • I think deliberately sabotaging group play is difficult to label a good thing. Seems more like they were disappointed/annoyed that people figured out how to beat the VoG, something they touted as being extremely difficult, so easily, and decided to make it artificially more difficult by randomizing it. I can agree with the Templar change to remove the sniping spots. But the change to Atheon's mechanics... one of the main puzzle elements of that encounter, was just stupid, imo. But of course, they'll never admit they were wrong and change it back.
