plz telll me why your gonna give us exotic armor and weapons and then take them away from us in year two. alot of us are extremely fond of those exotics and havent even gotten to play with them enough beacausxe we just got them and now your telling me we dont get to use them at all? what gives? i need these to accomplish really hard builds that ive been working on since day one. and now your telling me that my claws of amham will be taken away and your giving me the monty? what the -blam!-? ive been builing a character that 100% melee and thats what i do in all games. but taking away what i have pride in makes me wanna quit. ive started a petition for people who still want there old exotics and it is filled with people who only appreciate the exotics that will NOT be making it to year two. if u guys conciously decide to not let us use those exotics then we will leave destiny. im sorry but without that which brings us pride we are bare and cold and naked to the ever changing world around us., these items are our memorys and hopes and thoughts and without them what small portion of bungie can we trust?. let us keep em. compincate in other areas for them. dont take a childs toy away because your "going" to get him a better one. please dont do this i love this game but me and the 8600 signitures have a word to uphold and we will quit if u do this. we need these and will not play without them.

Nobody, at any point in time, is forcibly removing your Exotic weaponry from your vault, or memories. It's been stated that all exotics that don't have a year two counter part will remain the same. Whether that means they won't move on to dominate or amuse in Year 2 remains to be seen, but the fact of the matter is that they will still be there. Now, if you're upset because you think you won't be able to use them as soon as the 2.0 patch comes, you're still wrong. As a matter of fact, until you reach the mid 30s in level, they've assured us that our old gear will still be somewhat viable in new campaign, and that for older content such as raids and legacy strikes, they'll still function and perform as they should. So in short, they're not taking anything away, but they're moving on from 'the glory days', and while you can still relive those memories you had with your exotics that aren't being updated, it's up to you to put down your Gjally and catch up with the rest of us. We're not waiting.

At the very least, all HOW exotics should be brought into year 2. It's kind of bullshit.

It's a Year 1 vs Year 2 thing. I'm not going to lie, I'll be missing some gear too, but this was bound to happen eventually. And, at least I'm pretty sure, the Exotic version of Infusion could potentially make it so that there's ways to still boost some of the exotics to Year 2 levels. There are so many -blam!-ing guns it's really shouldn't be this big of a deal.

The big deal is that h.o.w. was just released. 3 months of playing for those excotics. Compared to a whole year of getting the gally. A year from the time it was released would make a good time limit to get rid of excotics.

There were like, 3 exotic weapons, and of them the one that was anywhere near decent is got an update in the 2.0 patch. The armor pieces were all situational at best, nothing super great, but who's to say they haven't been carried through? Just wait 'til the 8th before you make any judgements.
