For the most part it's a straight quality/quantity tradeoff, but borderlands story and currently low price probably pushes it ahead. Then again if you want to play borderlands endgame it's a looong grind playing the entire story mode 3 times and then once you're 72, the rng is worse than Destiny imo and don't even get me started on the op level nonsense.

  • Not really, i mean your chances are weighed, but at least there's a guaranteed source for 90% of the drops, the guns are better, the skill trees are so much more fun to build and tweek with than with destiny's, story hands down is superior, if you want to get to the overpowered levels, youre going to be more skilled than in destiny, while ill be it there are no raids/strikes in borderlands they do have touch bosses, elements actually mean something esp in true and ult. plus if youre the lazy type who just wants to get right to level 72, you can have a friend boost you, or mod, that game is easy to mod, not saying i approve of it but theres that option. And farming in this game, is a lot less time consuming and less stressful than in destiny. Example, for me personally, it took monthes to get a rocket(ghorn) which had an endless pool of chances to drop, with other exotics which i had, whereas in borderlands if i wanted the black hole for my mech build, i go into the game, fight ONE guy with the vault hunter relic, leave come back and repeat, until you get it. if this were destiny id have 3 nightfall chances, 3 deathsinger chances, 3 crota, 3 atheon, 3 chest in vault of glass, (year one farming not year 2) and some chances in the prison, which would take days to do since you need to have groups for this. so which is more effecient, spending hours for a chance out of a pool of other drops, or fighting a guy who takes 2 min to kill until you get it(yea some bosses in borderlands are harder than that, but thats why you use norfleet)
