Borderlands vs. Destiny?

This has been floating around in my head for a while and I am expecting some good answers. I just recently played Borderlands 1 with a group of friends and my god I enjoyed it so much more than the entirety of Destiny. I really want to get it but I'll be waiting to get a gaming PC first. And when I heard Borderlands 2 was even better I was like no way. Impossible. Destiny on the other hand is far more expensive and the content very well shows how it tries to keep you playing. Basically an overrated casino simulator. So what do you guys think? Post-apocolyptic Mad-Max style or post-apocolyptic sci-fi style?

  • I enjoy both for different reasons. Borderlands 2 is superior in Loot, story, characters, and I would go so far and say that Borderlands Co-op capabilities are better aswell. Especially when you can do two player splitscreen (360, ps3) or 4 player (ps4, Xbone). DLCs are good, but Tiny Tinas is argueably as good as the base game. The different characters encourage you to change your entire playstyle, based on where you spend your points. Destiny has better mechanics, better gameplay, better feel, and less of a gap between feeling like a badass, and a flop (any OP8 players would sort of agree with me). And it is getting new content. Not recomended for solo play.
