Im a newb streamer, don't want to be a cleavage streamer

So I'm a newb streamer. I plan on getting a playstation camera in the future to stream more, but I need pointers.
I am a girl and everyone says that I need to show cleavage to get a lot of views. I really don't want that. Granted I will freshen up though and wear makeup and dress appropriately but Can you give me pointers and advice? I have some past broadcasts and would love if anyone with some free time could check them out. Lately I have some cod ones so please excuse those.
I understand having a schedule helps, but I don't plan on making one until I get a camera.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED:
Nightbot
Be yourself, dress as you would normally.
Don't be monotone, speak well and address audience.
If camera shy, place picture beneath camera to help.
Help viewers every once in a while.
Don't straight up ask for donations.
Check other high up streams for examples.
Try to be humorous and entertaining.
Don't be berating and trolly against chat trolls.
Expect nasty chat messages as a female, ignore it.
Try to save $ to invest in better streaming equipment.
Have party chat with everyone's voice to be heard.
Create a schedule, shows commitment.
Try streaming when main popular streamers are not.
Do not rage over own stupidity and blame other players
Do not need camera, but if do make sure background appropriate and lighting is good.
Have a good microphone.
There are some more that are very specific but I promise that I have made note of them. If I seem to be missing more info please let me know so I can add them to this post and use this thread as my "cheat sheet".

Edit 3: I've decided to do the whole cam thing. I will be getting one this weekend and trying it out for a stream. :)

Just be your self :) get your viewers involved, I'm sure a lot of people need help running Crota or VOG

1 ReplyIf you don't want to show your cleavage, don't show your cleavage. You do have a choice in this. Just stream because you want to, not because you think you'll be making money and getting thousands of viewers. Have it be your hobby and hope it becomes [i]one[/i] source of income, not the [i]only[/i] source of income.

No don't stream with cleavage and see how many viewers you get. It won't go far.

How could you shoot pandas? ;-; But my advice is make the stream enjoyable. Crack jokes, kick ass, diversify your games. Etc. Look at popular guy gamer streamers. They don't exactly have cleavage to show, so cleavage isn't the only option to becoming a popular streamer.

Just be you on the stream. If you have any social appeal (funny, catch phrases, etc) I'm sure you'll do fine. Every streamer or YouTube entity has their own niche. Just find yours.

I don't understand people that say that showing chest = views. It never works for me! \^•/ but really, I watch a lot of streamers (Goth, Broman, Ms Team KK, etc.). I watch them because they promote fun and positivity in their chat. It also doesn't help that they're really funny and kind people, contrary to popular belief. Just be yourself, do what you love to do, and try to stay positive. That's all the advice id give.

Genuinely enjoy what you do. When I do watch other people play video games (like Markiplier) I do so because he's funny, and because he seems to enjoy what he does. If you enjoy playing the game (and have good people to do so with) then people will come watch. Simple as that.

You can be successful without flaunting your body, but doing so will put you on the fast track. Assuming you have the necessary talent/skills required for whatever it is you're doing. From what I've seen of some of the "well known" streamers, I'm not impressed. Just showcase a fun personality and be funny and I'd say you're already ahead of 98% of people out there.

I don't advise stealing content but maybe watching other streamers to see what they do right and what they fail at. If you watch, Shesmynerd, you will (hopefully) hate him for the way he blames everyone but himself when he fails, and is super aggressive too! But if you watch someone who knows what they are doing and are having fun too, like Datto (My opinion but I do have a whole bag of 'Zip it' for haters) then you can see he plays a lot of challenges but doesn't really interact with his audience. Then there are other Streamers who always interact with their Audience but still play for fun. (I don't watch enough streamers to give an example here) You just need to find out what you like to do and build towards that. Then just hope viewers who like that style, find your channel.
