Why did BO3 copy destiny?
This is a legitimate question. Destiny started development around 2008 so obviously they came up with these things first. They've got FoH (ruin smash I think) golden gun, and self res. the bo3 multiplayer isn't very good and it's basically AW with quite a few destiny elements. I even saw a fusion rifle in the game. I'll get it to play with friends but that's the only reason.

8 RepliesI loved playing CoD 4 its probably the best FPS I've played. Playing S&D was very tactical and needed good team communication. When I look at CoD now I just laugh at how stupid it's become. The game looks terrible and so far removed from what made it good.

Treyarch was smart enough to leave out any thorn or last word type of weapons! They also kept shotguns in their place, instead of making them snipers (Felwinter's lie).

I think they are trying to take good elements from the games around them to make their game better. Hell yeah they know that titanfall had wallrunning first recently and destiny had supers. So I think it should be ok. It should remind of titanfall Destiny and CoD which are all games I love. Haven't gotten to try the beta yet because I'm on xbone :(

BO3 copied plants vs zombies and pretty much every game ever - you can sprint.

Destiny is a completely new game and has steamrolled the competition so it only makes sense that Treyarch would use some of Bungie's ideas. Vahn is a huge fan of Destiny and what he's done with Black Ops 3 is quite amazing.

Bungie had great ideas to the game and others noticed this. Destiny is my favorite game atm. It gets too bad of a rap :( I dont really like cod anymore.

They didn't copy Destiny. There are a lot of other games out there that have come and gone with similar gameplay. Anything from Rise of the Triads to Mirrors Edge and Brink. Mixing some of these genres of FPS games doesn't really make something unique.
