Edit 2: I was going to refrain from saying this in case it's just false hope, but just because a certain Exotic isn't going to upgradable at launch doesn't mean it won't ever be. "Only some of them are coming forward right now." Take that as you will.
Edit 3: This list will be updated as more information comes out. Please try not to jump to conclusions. Just because there is only one piece of Titan armour on here that doesn't mean no other armour is coming forward. Please read the previous edits and statements.

Necro is the one that really gets to me. For obvious reasons. The work that is required to have that weapon is awful. Add that work with the luck required to get the crux. Not a great experience taking that away.

2 RepliesGood list. But what is your source for necro and vex? I didn't see that the test account had either unlocked in year 1 on the stream (but haven't gone back and looked so may be wrong). Also, am I the only one who sees that list of ones that DO carry over and thinks "so only half the new exotics in ttk are actually new!"?

1 ReplyStop me if I'm wrong but in the live stream there were three slots for warlock helmets, two slots for warlock gauntlets, four slots for warlock chest piece. So I took this to mean all warlock chest pieces will be upgradable, obsidian mind, light beyond and I would guess the ram will be the third helmet, then you are going to lose one pair of gauntlets I'm not sure which but I would say we will see sun breakers and nothing manacles being upgradable. Thoughts?

They said it was a test build just to showcase changes and are not final and could have errors like the ghosts clearly had. And guess what? Millions upon millions of fun seeking gamers will still get it either way whilst you thousand of predictive complainers waste your egoic time trying to be heard here. Thanks for always reminding me why I don't get on the forums. Babies simply aren't fun unless they are truly babies.

Necrochasm is best suited for PvE play because of its main perk. However, they are not bringing it over. They are going to buff it but not make it useful. Don't understand their logic. I understand it can also be used in the crucible (fast ttk) but it really wasn't made for that. Make it useful then leave it behind? WTF bungie!

7 RepliesThis list breaks my heart and is the reason I'm not buying Bungie's over priced DLC. The obsolescence of Necrochasm is truly baffling. Why bother to buff it with update 2.0? It will go down as the most worthless reward in the history of gaming.

We don't know the weapons that won't be there because that account did not have all exotics as in not every blueprint so we couldn't see all the exotics it looks like 10 primaries will be upgradable 7 special's and 5 heavies, sigh as I'm writing this I realize there is only 5 heavies and they confirmed no gally so my theory is wrong

4 RepliesGiven how unique exotic gear is in this game, making it irrelevant in comparison to newer gear will be shrinking the relevant content of the game just as the prior endgame content being made irrelevant by having no means to bring them forward as HoW did. I'm not saying the ascension system was perfect. Perhaps instead what could be implemented would be something entirely different and better. What I don't like about the upcoming Taken King dlc is that 75% of the game's endgame content is being made obsolete for the most part. This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the majority of endgame activities in the game. It just seems like this is counterproductive, rather than everyone being capable of pursuing rewards through the content they like and being comparable but different from one another, this isn't the case. This argument goes from endgame content to exotics as well. By not bringing all exotics forward, they are effectively removing those weapons as being reasons to play the game.
