I'm glad you posted this as I was going to ask a question on the form about PvP etiquette and thought here might be a good place to ask. I don't play PvP a whole lot—I'm honestly not that great at it and have fun with it every once in a while. I feel like I contribute about middle of the pack in 6v6 (middle to bottom 3v3). I've mostly been playing PvP to get my Bad Juju.
I had a situation arise last night where I was a few minutes into a game and my wife had an emergency with my 1 yr old son. So I had to stop what I was doing and help out. I didn't have much time to think about what to do so I put the controller down and went to help (i.e. my character still in the match but doing nothing). Would it have been better for me to drop out of the match before I put the controller down?

It's understandable, no one's going to blame you for an emergency. Sure, they may be upset, but they can never tell why you left your controller. If people insist on being angry it's just best to ignore them and deal with REAL LIFE matters first.
