Edited by thefourfoldroot: 8/4/2015 7:03:08 PMWhy? Which of these didn't you like? Or are you implying a collection of 30 games - several true classics - isn't of that level?
-
Really? A collection of classic games older than most of the children on this forum made by a company that's a shell of its former self because Microsoft makes them develop for a dead piece of hardware is your GOTY over the Witcher 3 and bloodborne? This is what's wrong with the gaming industry.
-
Edited by thefourfoldroot: 8/4/2015 7:11:51 PMSo you're saying they aren't good as they are old? I agree that not many of these games would come close to witcher3 or bloodborne now, but a collection of 30! For $30. Come on now. Maybe if you grew up in the 360 generation you wouldn't appreciate some of them; but then you really have no place referring to anybody else as "kids"
-
I never said they weren't good. I said they're old. They have had their chance at game of the year. You really think any one in the industry is going to choose 30 rehashed games over brand new IPs for game of the year? I'd sooner choose FNAF 4 (ew) over anything rereleased or remastered.
-
So only new ips can be game of the year? No witcher3 I guess. Or batman. Bloodborne is technically a new up I guess. I understand that as individual games they've had their chance but this is a collection, with new challenges and an overarching achievement/stamp system also. Would be one if my games of the year certainly.
-
You understood what I meant, don't play coy. We both know this collection won't be GOTY. No sense arguing the truth.
-
But I don't think you understand that I don't care about the fact that the individual parts have been released in the past. As an overarching game collection it's great and the metagame is fun for people like me who love achievement/trophy collecting.a piece of software like this is no different to me than a new IP, especially considering cost.
-
Considering the cost? You can get these games for free on literally any computer.
-
Edited by thefourfoldroot: 8/5/2015 8:03:21 PMAgain, not with the stamps/achievements and added challenges. Perhaps you have to be ocd to understand the difference.
-
I completely understand. It's one of the reasons Nintendo is falling out of favor with me. I wish they had some sort of trophy/achievement system like ps and Xbox. I still love their games but -blam!- man lol All I'm saying is id rather play all these games for free and not have achievements than play $30 for some extra gamer score. That's just me and I respect your differing opinion.
