This game will not ever have dedicated servers for Activision nor Bungie will ever pay for them.
Dedi's do not fix everything nor are they ever the magic bullet to lag related issues like everyone likes to think and claim and believe all the time.

TF does not prove me wrong at all. For TF can be laggy at times too, no game online is without the problems of lag and client/host desync issues.

They help with those issues to one degree or another. They will certainly cut down out the outright cheating in crucible we have been seeing though.

Not really for there are ways to even cheat on dedicated servers. No server is ever cheat proof to those who wish to find a way to cheat.

secure does not mean hack proof, or lag proof or cheat proof. it still can be done on dedicated server run games.

I know more about it then you think I used to play on many games with dedicated servers on pc and even hosted servers for many different games before. I do know what they helped with adn what they did not and lag was not really one of the area's that is helps with as much as you may wish to think or claim. Dedi's are not the magic bullet for lag and never was only a fool or idiot ever tries to claim they are. they only alleviate some problems and only if a server browsers is in the game that allows you to chose the server and this game will never have either. And with out the latter the former means nothing for they will not ever set up and pay for enough dedi farms to ever make a real difference. there will always be those still suffering from lag in this game.

I understand it won't completely fix the issue as stated in my original post. It's a start and I think they mentioned they would have them some time after the taken king
