It appears that that is an extra $20 on top of the $40 you pay for the expansion. I reread the post from June today and it is worded exactly as Travis has said, "The Collector's Edition Items" is $20.

I went to gamestop today to ask if the digital version has those exotic class items and new emotes and I could not get a straight answer. From what I see on the pre order list it looks like no. I am in the same boat as you guys I have vanilla Destiny, TDB, HOW that's $100 bucks right there for a story that was at BEST a solid intro. There are so many games out in this year alone with great stories that blow Destiny's story line out of the water. Putting that fact aside now the ONLY way I can get those exotic class items is if I spend another $80 dollars. So $180 for a game that's still a unfinished story. Is this the amazing 10 year plan for this game? At the end of the ten years how much would you guys says we would have spent for all the expansions $700, $900, $1,200? And while we are on this subject I have to be honest a $40 dollar expansion when I first heard that I thought that was CRAZY! This is an expansion! (sigh) I'm ready to get off my soap box now and I would really like to know what everyone on this thread thinks about all this. This is just how I feel about everything that I'm reading about this expansion and my thoughts from all the comments I have read from others.
