When I try to turn on my Playstation 4 it just flashes blue for a few seconds and then shuts off. I was playing when it just shut off and now it isn't working. When I first got it around Christmas it did the same thing so I sent it back and got a new one. What do I do?

send it back, playstation support is a waste of time

Send it in for replacement and don't use surge protectors or extension cords, just plug it right into wall. I am currently sitting on PS3 because I can only use my gaming console with extension cord and PS4 just seem to die in those moments when you turn on/off other devices that are plugged into extension cord. I also tried to switch all cables/power cords, did all possible fixes I could find on Youtube and nothing worked while I still have an old fat PS3 that has been treated very badly up and running...

What's with everyone asking for console war posts?

Push the power button, hold for like 15 seconds or until the console is completely off. Unplug it for like 30 seconds, plug it I and power I to again. If your console is hot when it does what you say it does then it probably means there's poor ventilation for it and it's overheating possibly.

Blow on it.

I'm not surprised.

Edited by AnnaMeemss: 7/28/2015 3:31:55 AMTry turning it on into safe mode. Hold down the power button until you hear a second beep. Should be like 7 seconds. Then do a restart from that menu. See if that works. Also make sure everything is plugged in securely, no loose plugs. You also might wanna double check the outlet itself, odds are low that it's the outlet but never hurts to double check. You could also try pressing the eject button as well. Obviously it ejects the disc but it also turns the system on.
