Lift Purchase Requirement for Blacksmath Shader Part Two
Time to try this again, since I keep getting redirected here, to get this problem solved.
Again I'm running in circles because Bungie refuses to do anything and that's a problem.
If I have to go out of my way to keep getting returned [b]here[/b], then [b]this is bad customer service at it's finest[/b], especially when it's downright wrong of them to turn a [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/139845580/0/0/1]once console locked code into a universal one time use code that is tied with your BNET account[/url].
[b]Here are things that will not work as I have already tried them:

[url=http://i.imgur.com/buBKoaA.png]Contact Gamestop Support (AKA where I bought it from)[/url], Mind you I also did a phone call as well, so that's twice.

Things I will not do to get this fixed:

9 RepliesIt isn't just a Blacksmith Shader thing. It's a DLC code thing. All DLC codes are console specific. If you upgrade consoles, it will not carry over. The same goes for the Gamestop Red Sparrow, the Frontier Ghost Shell... any item that you used a console specific code to get. There's nothing to be done about it. Now, if you are complaining that you simply switched from one PS3 to another PS3, then you should be able to just restore your licenses to get it. If this is the case, log on your PS3 on the account that originally redeemed the code, [i]even if that account is not the one you actually use to play Destiny.[/i]. 1 ReplyI have the gamestop sparrow, blacksmith shader, and the frontier shell on 360. I can actually use my frontier shell on the one, everything else requires purchase. Even though it probably won't happen, I'd love to be able to use my blacksmith shader.

I pre ordered call of duty and I never even got the shader at all! And you don't see me complaining. This isn't about Bungie it's about licensing, Activision and dlc content. the shader is licensed to be used on the console it is redeemed on. Activision released the shaders from CoD (not sure about the E3 ones) and that's another reason they are licensed to the console. Also the shader is like dlc content and cannot just switch consoles just because you want it. You're like a child who's had candy taken away, but in this case it's like you're trying to downgrade a game from new to last gen and are crying because daddy said no. In this case Bungie is daddy and they have said no for almost a year on all pre order exclusives and special content. No no no no no no. No to the shader No to the tumbler No to the ghost shell No no no no no no Please just stop.

1 ReplyHonestly dude it's just a shader. A cosmetic item in the game. I looked at your profile. You clearly play alot. Of all the time you've play and things you've accomplished, how much has that shader affected you? What ways has it benefited or hurt you? I don't think any on either side. Plus it was a preorder bonus. Not some you payed extra money for. You should probably just drop it. I imagine your getting the taken king so at that point you're already addicted to the game. Thinking that blacksmith shader is the cherry on the ice cream sundae to complete your collection of everything in the game is pointless. You're good dude. Screw that shader man. It isn't worth the energy. I'll openly admit that until we get that all black shader, right now the blacksmith shader IS the sickest shader but there's nothing Bungie will do so that's the end of it. Keep grinding guardian! :)

Also like to add, it's disgusting that the contest you have to get a high enough vote to even get a chance for a new code. You literally can't pick out 50 random people, see if they have it and if they do choose new people who don't in their place? Literally not even a comment on what it takes to even sell the thing? Again, bad customer service that this community thinks is good.

All this for an in game item that will change the appearance of your character. Seriously just stop. Bungie is NEVER going to do anything to get your little shader on your system. I didn't get my shader in the first place, not worth looking like a child to try and get it.

3 RepliesYou were given a choice as to which console you wanted the code for when you pre-ordered COD AW. You chose 360 and you got a license to use it on 360, it's console specific period. You don't get it for free for Xbone. If you want it for Xbone you need to get another code. The only reason it's still in your inventory on Xbone (but greyed out), is because you still have access to it on 360.
