they should each do unique stuff when certain conditions are met. phogoth could spawn ogres each 1/3 hp he loses, doing so costs him chunks of flesh, the arms for first two, then shreds off his torso for last one. he is also downed for 3 seconds upon spawning them. and thrall should crawl on ceilings and walls like roaches and drop down. sepiks should have a beam activate whenever a guardian dies, that freezes players struck by it and does damage. but the beam moves slow. activating the beam exposes a laser tube or something that is destroyable, which if destroyed, prevents him from using his lazer. omnigull is kinda unique, when she dies she should radiance for 30 seconds or so while summoning witches that have a poison aura and try to only melee guardians. shed die automatically after her radiance. taniks should have multiple guns firing from his extra limbs. he should equip different guns every 15% of his life he loses and drop the last one he has on the ground. he should also duck snd dodge and cloak occasionally. the archon priest could throw grenades that leave arc damage trails for a few seconds. he should also throw flash bangs snd suppressors in a random order every 50 seconds or 5% of hp he loses. sekiron should have extra destroyable weapon platforms on him. he should be like a mobile death blossom tank. each destroyed body part should fall of and turn into a minotaur that explodes when killed. he should have 15 or so extra gun parts on start. his armor would decrease the more parts he loses. the space turtle should have increased move speed the closer to death he gets. he can only fire rockets when moving though. hed just go berzerker the worse his fight was going for him. his stage should also have turrets, traps, mines, and destructible cover. additionally each strike should have random modifiers and events. every 7th strike it loads, not for you but on a regional count, there could be: areas being invaded by other enemies. different units, example a spider tank behind sepiks prime different objectives; instead of scanning and fighting off waves of enemies, you have to get x amount of ____ types of kills. example, 50 headshots with a shotgun, or 30 arc kills, or 6 triple kills for a door to open. modifiers would also randomly, not nightfall, come into play for certain parts of strikes, or the entire strike. the strikes would be normal except for the every seventh. so if 6 million people are playing strikes, 857142 people are playing a savage strike, the random crazy ones.

  • you could add some of these to the table of abilities, but it would still be very boring just by themselves. must remember, youre gonna be grinding strikes A LOT. so there needs to be variety beyond just mods. I agree modifiers should be a bit randomized, which they are attempting in PoE. Love the thrall crawling on walls. Ive always wondered why they didnt have this capability to begin with. Hell, we see Fallen climbing shit in the very beginning of the game. The shanks were even flying and not hovering.

  • I know. I had a whole other thread about enemies invading each other on Patrols, which is where that would go to be honest. I did one topic though on "guardian bounties" where certain factions would put a bounty on a guardian then a small group of elites (or even specifically designed enemies for just this) from that faction would hunt down the targeted guardian anywhere in the PvE world--this takes a page from Warframe. And all this is random per instance per guardian. So like a 15% chance of being invaded during a mission, strike, or on patrol. It can create a little bit of anxiety when you don't know when something may occur exactly. I like the idea of Savage Strike that could alter certain aspects of the strike itself, but this should kind of be an event that people can choose to play or not because it will make the strike much more difficult all around. Make it like Public Events that maybe occur 3 times a day and can be played within some hour or 2 and you would get a notification of it.
