"Name and Shame" Policy

How is, "I violated the Code of Conduct and was met with Ninja Justice," not name and shame? Can't they just edit the post to say, "REMOVED," or something to that effect? They could easily say anything else, yet Ninjas make it look like the player is admitting his or her guilt. This is completely terrible. The whole Ninja Justice comment is like having a scarlet letter on you. It's like standing outside of a restaurant with the sign, "I steal forks." Bungie, your anti-"name and shame" policy is spot on (I really do agree that it is wrong to name players who cheat), but it needs to be applied to all aspects of your community, including Forum Ninjas.

  • After I have thought about it more and more, there is no grey area here. The Ninja Justice comment is unequivocally "name and shame," and should be altered. "Name and shame" is not a Bungie-only term. It's used frequently elsewhere, and it means to name someone who has done something wrong. The Ninja Justice comment does exactly that. Remove it or change it. I understand the need to enforce the CoC, but you should not embarrass the poster like Ninjas do right now.
