Has anyone tried to go through the VOG door in the future (mars) or past (venus) and back to the gorgon lair? Maybe in the past or future the gorgon wouldn't be there, or they wouldn't be able to discern if you were real or fake because you wouldn't have existed in their database.

I've tried this a few times while being stuck in the gates during Atheon. I couldn't get the door to open. Maybe this was mentioned, but what about taking past relic into the future gate and future relic into past gate during the gatekeeper fight?

After you take the relic out of the past/future, that gate closes and won't open until the Atheon fight. You also can't go into the partials the past/future minotaurs come out of for the conflux.

Maybe you need a guardian in each. Everyone's always too busy trying to get out that they don't bother to explore. I've tried it after defeating Atheon, but never while retrieving the relics.
