Some myths believed that killing a gorgon could bring the dead back to life. Can defeating ALL of the Gorgons revive Kabr and his team? Maybe it is also possibly to turn the Gorgons themselves into stone, creating a path of stepping stones to make it across the maze without touching the ground. The gorgon head attached to zues' shield (made by Perseus or Athena) still had the power to turn things to stone. They used it to turn atlas to stone, creating mountains. There are plenty of mountains of rock in the maze area. Maybe the Gorgons are used to reach a section that is otherwise unreachable. One myth also relayed that after killing a gorgon, Athena wore it's skin for protection. Maybe like radiant skin? How long are the effects of radiant skin and the extended duration of sun singer powers perk (can't remember the name); will they allow you to make it through the maze untouched? We don't know the exact make up of kabr's fireteam in terms of Titans, hunters and warlocks. Maybe there is a combination of the subclass powers that allow the Gorgons to be defeated easier. A Titan with a shield, a radiant skin warlock, a blade dancing hunter... All things mentioned (more or less) in mythology in connection with defeating Gorgons.

  • Gorgons respawn when you kill too many. Got to 7 once and the maze was just as populated as it was when we began.

  • Well they argue his fire team consisted of him, praedyth, osiris, and someone else I forget (not pahanin tho) which would explain some of the other lore. Good info tho and thanks for contributing

  • But if pahanin wasn't part of the fireteam how did he witness the fall of kabr? There is not specific mention of the others, is there? Unless I just don't have those cards unlocked. Praedyth can be assumed because his weapons are obtainable in the vault.

  • Well really it's all speculation based on grimoire and item quotes, osiris had a lot to do with the vex and he mysteriously vanished, leading people to believe he was in the original fire team that entered the Vault. Another theory was that Praedyths and Hezen (hezen was the other fire team member now I recall) were actually vex minds that assisted kabr. Pahanin wasn't part of his fire team, he actually watched from afar while kabr fought the templar and aided him by letting in some light. Supposedly this is what led Dredgen Yor to kill Pahanin, because yor was friends with Kabr and was upset pahanin was such a coward. Again all speculation but it's all reasonable speculation

  • Of course he was a coward, he was a hunter! In every Great War story, someone has to survive to tell the tale. It just happened to be him.

  • He survived long enough to tell the tale before Yor went on his guardian killing rampage haha. And yeah hunters are cowards, hence shin malphur and yor using the thorn and TLW (hides from upcoming rage)
