A closer look at Moments of Triumph

hi Everyone! the info about Moments of Triumph only just came out yesterday (...and WHAT a way to 'celebrate' so called Bungie Day it was! but i'll leave this here), and, probably as many of us would have expected, the Forums got immediately flooded with various Threads and Posts where people are bragging about their "achievements" and how they "just logged on and had EVERYTHING completed already", so i've decided to take a closer look at what all those people are actually bragging about. I will list down all 'pieces' of the Moments of Triumph below with few comments: Apprentice of Light - A character reached the maximum level - accordingly to Bungie.net there is 20/20, so this probably means reaching Level 20 - so, you basically just equip 1-2 pieces of RANDOM legendary gear after you've completed the 'story' Light of the Garden - Defeated the dark heart of the Black Garden - complete the final mission of the 'story', really? is that IT? :) Light in the Dark - Prevented the summoning of Crota's Soul - competed the final mission of an even shorter 'story' dressed up like a DLC. checked, i don't think this one actually took at least 5 minutes, most likely not Light of the Reef - Captured Skolas in the Vex Citadel - okay, now who said this game isn't repetitve? literally EVERYONE who's bought the 2nd DLC have this one completed, probably because there really wasn't much else NEW to do Bane of Skolas - Defeated Prison of Elders on Hard Difficulty - now, this one's bit tricky due to the recent patch to lvl35 PoE, but in general, pretty much everyone who's completed it pre-patch (i.e. with burn ON) cheesed it with Gjallahorns (okay, i know, not everyone, but definitely majority) - some credit is given for actually being able to go through the Arena to reach Skolas tho Bane of Atheon - Defeated Atheon on Hard Difficulty - this one's actually GOOD, i like it. those who beat him back when 'forever 29' was still a thing know the real struggle, after TDB it's all fun and games - but then again, you won't be able to tell based on the Emblem, will you Bane of Crota - Defeated Crota on Hard Difficulty - this one's NOTHING like Atheon tho - those who managed to beat Hard CE on the release day DEFINITELY deserve credit, we all know that, but we also know what happened next - within first week the entire thing turned into a Cheese Fondue: Hunter solo through Abyss, Warlock cheese on Bridge, and my most favorite, DISCONNECTING console as Crota was kneeling for an easy win - furthermore, it's no real challenge now that Crota's no longer one level stronger than us, is it *NOTE - funny thing is, the game's supposedly an MMO (i know i know, but still), however despite Raids being a BIG thing, the Devs didn't care to do as little as implementing some sort of Social feature and left those with no online friends having to use EXTERNAL sources, i SALUTE you BungieVISION's Devs (...not) Public Servant - Completed 50 Public Events - we simply HAD to do them, we ALL needed them Shards and Energy - people who now keep asking on the forums "how to do Events quickly" do not really have an idea what the Alpha/Beta/Day#1ers been through - back on track tho, Public Events are easily soloed - SPECIAL CREDIT to the guy(-s?) who put the tracker together Crucible Gladiator - Won 100 Crucible Matches - i know majority of this game's players are PvE ONLY, been one of them until the 2nd Iron Banner, so my dear PvEers: "Good Luck chasing these" - for someone who plays PvP tho, this is just a piece of cake and would've completed it during first week of Destiny Chest Hunter - Found all Golden Chests - really? again? sooo, we are now giving credit for being able to follow a VIDEO GUIDE? ))))) ...soooo, what did we learn? well, there is not really much to brag about. these "achievements" as people call them are basically just completing a bunch of missions on rather low difficulty, following few video tutorials on how to cheese this or that, and where to find few chests and playing some PvP all in all, the Emblem means NOTHING and ANYONE who picks the game today can still do all of those in NO TIME anyway keep bragging i'll keep laughing ...thank you for reading, leave me a comment if oyu will ;)
