If there was a procedure that would make u immortal but it had only 50/50 success rate and failing will leave u dead would u take the procedure ? Please take the poll and leave your reasons below

There are some good books about age and immortality. As time goes on the world advances but there is a limit to how much we can adapt to. Let's look at a person. Born in 30-40s right after or during the war in a small town in the middle of nowhere. The war taught them to not waste and gave them a sense that the U.S. was good. Well now they see gay marriage legalized, Isis, the nsa spying on citizens. Now to a middle aged person this is not that bad but because of the amount of adaptation older generations have to go through this all seems radical and they think(with maybe some FOX news mixed in) the world is going to hell.
