(An old Guardian in the wild approaches younger Hunters and Titans and Warlocks by their campfire, and tells the story of the 2nd time, he went in the Vault.) Old Guardian: Forgive me if forget some aspects, as going in the Vault, messed up my accuracy of the order of things. We went in. The 6 of us. It was gruesome. The first thing we encountered were the Confluxes. Not till a Vex got through to one, did we know to defend them. That was the easy part. (The young Guardians sat attentively.) Next, we challenged the Oracles. Singing the Vex lullabies that tainted our Light. One of us jumped right off the edge, driven to the edge of Madness. It... Was a tragedy. It drove us to destroy the Oracles right away. The Templar.... A magnificent work of Vex machinery. I grabbed the Aegis for the team. Such a masterpiece of craft. 5 of us, against of all... them. I took down his shield, and my team went for it. One of us fell when we attacked. The Templar fell. It was a small victory, compared to the next challenges. The Gorgons came next. The Hunters got by easily, with their invisibility. The Warlock blinded them with their Solar Light. I got by with her. The Titan had no way to get by. He gazed right into the Gorgons' eye. Another fell. The challenge we faced after that was the worst yet. He guarded the gates. The Gatekeeper, we titled him. Two gates, one to the past and one to the future. The Hunters went in alone. They conquered the Gatekeepers and grabbed the Aegis. Then all of us took him on. The Gatekeeper. The one that sits on every corner of time. The Hunters fell when it fell. The Curse of the Aegis, I called it. The Warlock... Got caught in the explosion. Only I remained. I grabbed both the Aegis before he stood in front of me. Atheon. Something seemed familiar to me... Like I have stood there before. I conquered. I stood where time did not exist nor did. It was magnificent. The glass shimmer, the platform on which he stood. The Curse of the Aegis was lifted, which is why I am sitting here. (A young Guardian, hearing a legend similar to a man facing Atheon alone before, starts to think.) Young Hunter: May I ask, what is your name? Old Guardian: My name... is Kabr. (The young Hunter and the others realize a legend is sitting in front of them. They have many questions, but only ask one.) All the young Guardians ask: Are you the Kabr from the legend? The one who constructed the Aegis, but fell to the Vex? Kabr: Yes. (The moment Kabr says yes, he disappears using Vex technology, and was never seen again.) Epilogue: The young Guardians ponder on and attack the Vault themselves. None fell due to the information the Legend, Kabr gave them. Kabr lives on through memories, legends and the stories that the young Guardians told. The end.
