I've been using Hawkmoon and TLW for a LOOOOOOONG time now, and I can say that I wish they fixed two things
1) hip fire dmg activating while ADS with TLW.
2)reduced mag size for Hawkmoon
I mean seriously, 13 bullets? Get any hand cannon WITH FIELD SCOUT and I bet it won't have 13 bullets
Edit: ok fate bringer has 13 bullets with field scout but still, my point stands, 13 bullets is a lot for a handcannon (especially one without field scout)

13 is the max. It doesn't need a reduced mag, it needs reduced range as that's obviously its biggest strength. It doesn't have to be a huge decrease but something in the neighborhood of 20% sounds about right

Field scout on hand cannons LITERALLY increases the mag size to exactly 13

they gave it a large mag because if it had few bullets you would have a greater chance of getting those bullets that deal extra damage and so people would argue that the gun is "op" so more bullets = a lower chance of getting a bullet that deals extra damage consecutively

If they do this, they need to give either Field Scout. Without its incredible magazine, it's not very good in PvE.

Hawk moon is an exotic. I really hope they don't touch that thing. I've been waiting since I heard about that thing and I can't wait for TTK to try and get it.

You do know the lucky rounds will have a higher chance to active with a lower mag size

Well fatebringer without field scout is 12 rounds. So it's not pushing very far. You are basically asking for a buff so that there is a higher chance those extra damage rounds come into play

The increased mag size is to balance out all that [i]luck[/i]. If it had 8 rounds then people would be calling a nerf to that as well.

Yup there would be a 37.5%chance that the first round is extra damage

Also if you reduce the mag size it means the chance to proc the extra damage bullet is higher which could unbalance the gun
