Tips on Soloing Crota Hard

So, I know I'm incredibly late, but considering I've only had the Crota's End dlc for about two weeks, I don't think I'm that late. What I'm interested in now is soloing Crota Hard, and I'm looking for some pointers on how to accomplish the task. Anything is appreciated.

For details, your best bet is YouTube. Lots of good walk throughs. But in general, here are a few tips: All classes: 1. Ascending crota gear will make everything easier. 2. Using crota weapons is always a good idea. 3. Red death is a great primary because it restores health. 4. Cheese. I know people don't like these methods, but you are soloing on hard mode. You can't take much damage, even at 34. Don't be a hero. 5. Save rockets for ogres and shriekers. Pop a synth if necessary before the hallway. Titan: 1. Defender (blessing of light). 2. Your jump can cheese the lattern area. Use it. Get to the second lantern and jump up to the ledge behind you. Follow it backwards and it drops you off right near the end. 3. Your jump can cheese the bridge area. Use it. Then go to the right side and hide on the cliff. Pick off the Knights and wizards. Then kill the ogres. 4. Use blessing of light just before going into the hall. Then sprint through while rocketing the shriekers. Hunter: 1. Use your invisibility build for the lanterns. Crouch as often as possible before sprinting from lantern to lantern. Use your strike and special in emergencies, when the mobs catch you and you don't have time to crouch for invisible. 2. Use the sword to jump to the left side rock at the bridge. Then jump up. Same method as Titan after that. 3. In the hallway, take out the first shrieker, then go invisible and sprint to take out the second. Then go invisible again and sprint to the end. Warlock: I don't know. Never been able to do it with a warlock. Hope this helps. Good luck! Edit: if you need help on PS4, just add me. I just recently taught myself how to solo, and would be happy to teach someone else.

Tried it with hunger of crota but kept running out of rockets, got gjally and it was much more doable. I used a saint14 bubble on the door the swordbearer comes out of with weapons of light, 4 swordbreaker hits downs the swordbearer and then like the other guy says jump on rock etc. My tip for death singer, go in with full rockets and have a synth ready, just rocket everything. Use Ruin wings to get loads of purple bricks! Also on a titan you can jump off the map using titan codex 3 & 6 on the bridge section to despawn everything then if you can avoid the swordbearer (saint 14 bubble helps) you can step on and off the middle plate to build the bridge.

There's a shortcut for abyss, when you hit the end just stand on top of the pillars of the bridge, with the bridge solo it with the sword across and stand behind the right pillar and shoot off thralls till ogres come out then focus fire on them, take your time on the little shrieker maze part, the death singer, just kill the wizards and shriekers fast and go on top and shoot her And bam your on crota

    • Solo normal first. Be 34. Have ghorn or sunsinger fusion grenades with Viking funeral and the other burn perk

      • Solo normal first. If you want to give hard mode a try, you'll probably need Red Death, Ice Breaker and a good legendary sniper, and Gjallarhorn among other extremely helpful weapons. Run MIDA Multi-Tool with the Lightweight perk for the abyss. If you're a warlock, use solar grenades with Gift of the Sun. Make sure you max agility in your subclass. Look up videos on how to sword across the bridge. For Deathsinger, deal with the left side (your left when you're coming out from under the hallway, not left of where Crota stands) first and use Black Hammer on her if you have it. For Crota, you need to kill the swordbearer as fast as possible. Not sure if it applies in hard mode, but two Gjallarhorns will down Crota on normal. You should be standing on the rock on the side when you drop the sword, and pick it back up as soon as you fire the second Gjallarhorn. Jump up and use the RB button to swing once to get you close enough to Crota, and then press RT while pushing your left analog stick up (this increases attack speed). Ideally you should get three slams, and then get away. Good luck
