Its coming with taken king....that's what Transmogrification means...they plan to let you change the way you look and supposedly there will be more customizations options to choose from, including beards....

The dispute ended peacefully, but I have recently come to find out they may not ever allow armor reforging like they do with guns. This was the other persons thought on the word, but I saw the post before he edited it, so I can say with certainty, that he is trying to be fancy and means characters can have their appearances changed, but I can only guess as to how they will go about this.

I thought transmogrification was when you apply certain stats to a different armor so you don't have to delete cool looking stuff

nope....they just tried to add a bit of flavor to a previous post about character customization....Transmogrification actually means to change everything about someone....There was a potion in fable 2 with the name that would let you change your gender, which is where I fist learned of the word.

Transmogrification doesnt mean to completely change but to give the appearence of change. For example in harry potter they had transmogrification potions that made them look different but not act or actually be different. So in game retrospective it should be the ability to change armor skills for diff armoe customization. Not completely change armor, that is alchemy. So if they give a armor changing system the title of transmogrification and not alchemy, they are lying to pull in customers......once again unfortunately. Also, srry to say on fable, your character was still a man on the inside even though woman on the outside. You probably made him question his identity by giving him such a potion lol.

In game mechanics actually used the same character model as the female player, so you are quite wrong at that point. That aside, the definition I provided is most accurate to you example and the definition I provided, in both series the effect resulted in a drastic or complete change rather then just a slight change. The book of Harry potter they used the potion too soon and didn't change their voices leading to only a partial or mostly complete potion, but what can you expect from 2nd year students. To be honest, your post seems to be bias based on the dislike or mistrust of the Transgender community, in reality similar things can occur but are much more difficult to reproduce and are likely to not meet the greater market; changing ones Genome is quite possible and is done all the time to try and bring back prehistoric animals like feathered dinosaurs using birds and mammoths using elephants and the results can be quite drastic. Even adults can be altered as in the case of the spider goats where they replaced a single gene within the goats milk production to make spider silk. The result was successful but the goats had a spider spinneret on their backs, and that was only 10 years ago, imagine what they have been doing lately. The reality is that changes like that are not only possible but presently being anticipated and altered to meet a much larger market; they want money and will likely never give you the one and done system as they can make more money off of you from treatments.

No no no my examples were of a magical potion that in which by drinking it changes your physical appearance, but that being said the reason it's only the appearance of change is because their brainwaves didnt change. They personally altered their behavior to mimmic malfoys two friends but in actuality even with their voice changes it would have still been an appearance of change because they weren't altered mentally. Also when I said you may have made your character question his identity, it wasnt a jab at transgender people but pointing to a condition in which 1 gender feels trapped in the body of another. That being said the potion in fable, even if it was a perfect physical change neither I nor you have the ability to say for sure if it was a complete mental change seeing as how the player controls the character. Even in surgery, if you alter your body, your brain will work the same way. Male and female brains while similar in construct, react differently to similar situations. Therefore even if your character had a perfect transition, theres no knowing if his brain was affected similarly. So my comment was pointing to your character while a male brain and male emotions being trapped in a female body. Perfect or not. Also where did the thought come up that I mistrust transgender people. If you sensed any distrust it was to bungie as a money grubbing e3 lying company and nothing more. If anything, my friends that are all gay, straight, transgender etc are some of the most trustworthy people in existence. If anything they are more likely not to trust me lol. But yea I would never blame whole races genders or ethnicities for past problems. The last guy that did that started a world war. But bungie as a company on the other hand is just absolutely horrid.

Stab at the...but no seriously, I meant no disrespect, I was giving suspicion to intent provided by the joke. I was simply trying to convey that they had already stayed characters would be able to be re-customized. I had actually not read anything about armor stats being shuffled, though I would like that also. Deej just wanted to be witty and used Transmogrify to shorten the statement.

Also forgive me for my skeptics but since that article leaked about bungie paying off people to say good things I have hard times believing people on here havent been payed if they are saying good things. One would imagine, but its not that simple unfortunately; each character model in the game slows down the processor and can lag the game significantly. Not to mention any Organic movement like boobs or fat roles giggling, so if they did add it they would be stiff and likely be layered on top of the original frame and look really bad or they would look great but slow down the processor and lag the game. Personally I would love to see different body types like Gotham city Imposters, where your movement and strength levels change based on the proportion and height of your character, but I would prefer they work on things more likely to function on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 without slowing the pace of the game.

But its little things that make the game better. If they wont add matchmaking at least do something for us. Right now we're not getting any updates
