It looks like some one gave battle field four a star wars paint job, I'm already feeling disappointed.

I've played the alpha for 4ish hours. It looks that way but it doesn't feel like it. It really surprised me as I'm fairly skilled at BF4. Not the same in Battlefront. The movement is massively different feeling, the gun handling different, and game flow is different. I promise from what I've played you'll be pleasantly surprised.

By what you are describing, I am glad to hear that and hope that game goes well

Battlefront was already similar to Battlefield when it came out originally. But Battlefield does not have power ups, shield bubbles, jet packs, Jedi and Sith, more varied vehicles, unique map objectives and more. I never understood that "looks like Battlefield" responses. Always comes off as someone either: hating on the game for no reason, or just incredibly misinformed.

I think you really ought to breakdown Battlefront vs Battlefield, because they really are two very different games that are related by scale of battles alone. Again, Battlefront is its own, unique IP... Not a Battlefield clone with a Star Wars skin.

I know, that's what I said.

Edited by Vicex: 7/5/2015 12:54:24 AMNo, it's not:
I never understood that "looks like Battlefield" responses. Always comes off as someone either: hating on the game for no reason, or just incredibly misinformed.
Perhaps I was not clear. I'm saying that Battlefront (The franchise, meaning 1+2) is completely different than Battlefield. However, This Battlefront 2015 looks to be a:
a Battlefield clone with a Star Wars skin.
Thus, this game is really Battlefront in name only. It might well be a new Star Wars shooter IP... or even more accurate, a modded/reskined Battlefield 4.

I guess you glossed over my earlier post. I can easily tell the difference between the two, and do not see BF as a BF4 clone at all.
