Let's see who can answer this question correctly.
only rule is no changing answers! This is an experiment!
----------------------------------
Edit: It's not Vex, although I shoulda put that in there to throw people off even more! It's true that both the Vex and the gun in question were nerfed at the same time, but the other gun was running rampant in Crucible while very few people actually had the Vex.
Edit Dos: Lots of people saying Shingen, trying to get me on s technicality! I am talking about the Live version of Destiny. As in, September 9th version :)
Extra credit to anyone who mentioned Uni Remote! While not as rampantly OP as the correct answer, it was nerfed very early on. Just so few people had it when the game first came out. Still something only a vigilant day oner world know about :)

I want to say Suros, since it got nerfed twice I believe before the super nerf to ARs. The initial headshot damage it did was insane. That having been said it was nowhere near as OP as the Vex was when it first made its way into crucible. That thing literally made PVP scrubs into gods just by equipping that weapon. Still remember the videos and all the rage that caused when people first started getting the weapon and bringing it into PVP.
-
I thought I was red death. It used to be 2 burst then got nerfed by lowering impact increasing fire rate. (Now it's a two burst kill again)
-
Vex at 58 extended mag
-
I think I know why it was auto rifles that dominated. So veteran players can talk about their suros regimes in the literal sense. There was a regime where that exotic weapon dominated the pvp and the pve standings in terms of power. But new players that have played after that regime will never know.
-
Pocket infinity.... You literallyshoot infinite bullet.... 5 ammo , with extended mag became 8 bullet, its SGA fusion rifle style
-
Edited by CoVeRtSiTh: 7/3/2015 1:34:59 PMSuros Regime. It caused the downfall of all auto rifles because of its over use in crucible. Bungies way of fixing the problem was to nerf the entire gun type instead of reworking one weapon. I wonder if Handcannons will suffer the same fate because of Thorn?
-
First op gun was the vex.......
-
Where the FÛCK is vex? That thing wrecked lobbies
-
It was invective??
-
The good thing about the suros was that you had to actually be good to use it, and you would still be able to go toe-to-toe with the suros if you didn't have it.
-
Pocket infinity.
why bungie, why? :,(
-
Autos got a NERF on day 1. Look back at the first weekly update.

Edited by xXDeadPool1oh1Xx: 7/3/2015 8:10:53 AMPocket infinity, followed by vex mythoclast, then suros.
-
Edited by Dewkin: 7/3/2015 8:21:29 AMI picked suros w/o thinking. Taking a look again at the weapons, it's got to be pocket infinity. It was nerfed early on.. I didn't think it was that op though
-
Pocket infinity.
-
Pre nerfed pocket infinity devastated crucible. Nothing has a chance.
-
Are you revealing the answer. Btw I put suros that thing used to be a beast out classed everything.
-
I'm a day 1er and i don't even remember what weapon got nerfed first, i think it was pocket infinity or suros. Anyone know what was the first nerfed weapon and why?.
-
Pretty certain it was the red Death... Remember how OP this thing was! Then it was nerfed and got bad and now it's near it's old level again
-
Why is Thorn on this list? Lol. Back then it only had like 5 rounds and took FOREVER to reload!! SUROS was king!
-
Hard light
-
Wrong! Shingen-E and Galahad-E
-
XD Whoever chose thorn as the most OP exotic (BACK THEN!) is terribly wrong xD
-
Pocket Infinity the first one destroyed by the nerf herders RIP.
-
Pocket infinity. My first exotic.

Edited by Ohhh54321: 7/3/2015 7:22:02 AMI voted Suros but shingen C was the most used gun before xur sold Suros
