It's meant for the people who take it seriously. But taking it seriously and playing competitively is what makes it fun :)
-
Oh deffenatqy not arguing that factor , but you know what I mean , but at the end of the day It's just a game :)
-
That's what people told pros back in H3 too. Granted, none of us are being paid to play in tournaments with sponsorships and all.
-
Yea all the " pros " just get ppl go watch there twitch an " donate " lol
-
We didn't have twitch back then. We had MLG tournaments, real hype for our favorite teams, real rivalries developed, paid tournaments happened in customs, the top 10 on GameBattles in any playlist were avoided like the plague. H3 was an incredible experience, and there will never be another FPS that can meet that hype again.
-
Yea I used to do MLG back in the day with cod , was pretty hype , definitely a good time for any competitive gamer .
-
If you ask me, CoD has no place in competitive gaming. Too realistic, it's all about who gets the first shot, as two shots kill you. At least with halo you had the opportunity to come back or embarrass opponents. I played Blops 2, and consistently went 6.0+ when I had no idea what the hell was going on. I just shot who I saw while running around like a madman.
-
Isn't that just the same as this game though ? I mean crucible takes no skill at all either just get a thorn shoot someone in the head , an walk away an let Dot kill them , personally I liked cod more search an rescue in ghosts best game ever an my rank wasn't to bad on it either ;) , but games are all just fads an will all die out one day or another .

Kind of, not really. With CoD you had ridiculously fast times to kill, and no shields. With destiny even thorn can be countered. I've got like a 1.8 KD and I don't use thorn, tlw, red death, etc. I use thorn maybe 3 games a week, because I've had it since it was actually balanced, it was my first exotic, and I loved it back then.
